I think the poor baby clinging to it's dead mother, covered in her blood is by far the saddest thing I've ever seen. Thank you for all you do for these wonderful creatures. Bless you all 😥❤💖

I worked on a construction site for the Atlanta Zoo; we were constructing the panda exhibit. I spent every lunch hour I could for the few days I was there watching the orangutans at lunch. This one male in particular would come as close as he could get and "play" with me. Sometimes we would just sit and enjoy each others company, I think...it was a very special time and I'll never forget it. I can't express the connection I had or why.

alenemarie - I lived in Atlanta for 6 years and know exactly the Orang you’re speaking of. I wish I could remember his name. My mom used to tease me because I’m 40+ years old and she would tell me my best friend was an Orangutan because I spent so much time there. BTW- great job on the Panda exhibit! It’s beautiful. Atlanta Zoo is an amazing facility and they are really doing all they can for conservation of endangered species.

I know this is a very infuriating video to watch; however, I would like to look at the silver lining and thank this fine "baby sitters" for the incredible job they do, rehabbing and caring for this wonderful creatures. The world will never change as long as there is greed and corruption, but we can leave a small footprint in this world by supporting organizations such as this one.

Every time I see their faces my heart melts....

I have my own Orangutan Channel with over 200 videos but, it never fails to rip my heart apart to see a baby sick or injured. Healthy babies who need 24hr attention are cute, lovable and defenseless, but if one is sick or hurt, even the toughest man would melt. Baby Orangs look so pitiful and needy, sometimes I can hardly stand it

I would much rather my resources go to help the thousands of children living in Indonesia that lack the basic neccities in life like food medicine mental health,etc. This is a total waste of valuable resources

Orphan at this age, should be in mother’s chest. Break my heart to see him. But in good hand now, I hope he overcome all odd.

Humans can be so evil destroying the earth! And our distant cousins are their victims! Thank God for the good people who rescue & care for them... what wonderful work they are doing!

So many of you have fallen under their spell to “hate your brothers & sisters” & carry all this guilt for every human being that was ever on Earth! Who do you think are these beautiful people helping the orangs, as well as many 1000s of other animal species??? Who are the ones caring for them, feeding them, teaching them, loving them? These aren't our cousins and most humans are actually good. Humans and animals alike need care and compassion. We don't have to pretend they are the same to do that...or shouldn't have to. Stop looking at everyone as evil and you not only might find the US much more goodness in the world than you realize, but you also might find ways you can actually contribute to the goodness

It's truly awful. I'm in tears watching it. I "adopted' a girl through International Animal Rescue. She's in Sabah and is 10 years old now

*God forgive me forgetting the Danish woman's name here in this video that started this jungle school but the fact that this video is 13 years old she deserves anything she wants for the rest of her life*

Orangutans are so beautiful ! How could anyone hurt them ? To bad mommy orangutan couldn't have had a gun & shot the heartless poacher before he shot her & stole her baby from her !!! All in the name of money as usual. God bless the good people who are shown in the video helping the orangutans. Thanks for sharing this video...........I cried, especially at the end of the video. Been trying not to buy anything with "palm oil" in it.

I fully believe poachers deserve punishment. But those who want other humans beings murdered while simultaneously ohhing and ahhing over an animal they will claim is our relative.... Are sick sick sick degenerates far far worse than any poacher

I already adopted Beda, a baby orangutan at Nyaru Menteng, they need our help, they are all orphans, their mothers were killed, their forest home has been destroyed because the palm oil industry.

There are some sanctuaries in the US that care for great apes. I don’t have specific info, but there is one in Florida and one in Washington State I believe. Why don’t you try Googling it?

EXCELLENT VIDEO!!!! Like a good book! It contained a bit of everything! Funny, caring, broken hearted, loving and comforting! I wish I could come and offer my services. That would be an amazing adventure for everyone. ORANGUTANS are MY absolute favorite! The ones who hurt them are not human beings, they're the ones who are animals. Just more because they're evil monsters. So sad when someone just wastes two lives like that. One by instant(or maybe slow and painful, depends upon the method) but not life long and traumatizing. Being left alone is kind of like a death itself. They can die from a broken heart just like humans can. That's a real thing. It's called Takotsubo or aka stress induced cardiomyopathy. That's what these poor baby primates go through or sometimes they just get so depressed due to the trauma and loss of their mothers they stop eating or they experience one of these and lay there and die. We can't allow this to continue. Somehow they have to be stopped. They're murderers. I'm so sorry sweet babies. I wish I had an answer for today. No one has. That's our big problem. But I promise we're working on it.😡😈😠👹 Love ya little stinkers, so much!! I'd LOVE to see more of you! You photographers and videographers have no idea how much you impact our lives. The joy we get from the caring ones, the laughter we get from the funny ones and reality when we see the sad ones. Thank you so much for sharing! God bless and will pray for your safety. Not hard to see the LOVE. I freely admit that it got to me at the end, when prying that baby Orang from it's dead Mother. At least it had these people full of love to rescue him/her.

these poor babies are being forced out of their homes like many other animals across the world. Such beautiful God created creatures should not be be living in fear and forced to be refugees.

.... Many years ago, through a large boycott of buying tuna fish, the method for catching of which used to kill dolphins, people managed to put such pressure on that industry that it was forced to modify its practice and give us dolphin-friendly tuna fish. It is high time now for similar actions to deal with other issues such as what we see here. We have to learn to be less careless about where and how everything we use has been produced.

Orang2 udh pada gila kali,nggak punya hati.... Lihatlah betapa orang2 asing begitu santun menyayangi satwa dengan sepenuh sungguh. Kita harusnya belajar dari mereka bagaimana cara memperlakukan sesama makhluk hidup.Orang2 kita sepertinya susah untuk diajak maju,mangkanya pantaslah kalau ada orang asing yg mengatakan negara kita negara abal2,segala sesuatunya nggak pake aturan.Kalau hal ini terus dilakukan,kapan negara kita akan maju apalagi sejajar dengan mereka?
