Nami was definitely the fourth person to join the straw hats. This is highly debated. She abandoned the straw hats after they picked up Sanji.

The title of the chapter where she officially joins (chapter 94 titled “The Second”), it is hinted that she is the second member! But that wasn't the question, it was "Who was the first Strawhat to be shown in the anime". In this case, Nami is shown before Luffy, right at the beginning of episode 1, while he was still inside the barrel and hadn't appeared yet. But of course she wasn't a Strawhat yet at that point. But even so, she is now a member of the crew and was shown before Luffy.

Oh Okay! I'm sorry for this. I hadn't understood! I know there's a lot of discussion around the order in which crew members joined. But I base it on the manga titles where Sanji (Chapter 68 - “The Forth”) and Nami (Chapter 94 - “the Second”) officially joined the crew. Thus, the titles would be references to the fourth (sanji) and second (Nami) members.

But Luffy is still not shown. Right at the beginning of the next scene, Nami is briefly shown for the first time at 02:55, watching the sea from inside the ship and being invited to dance. Here, Luffy hadn't been shown yet! He is only shown at 8:30, when he comes out of the barrel. As such, Nami is the first member of Strawhat to be shown! Of course, at that point she hadn't joined the crew yet!

While Sanji does use the nickname Mr. Prince in Alabasta, he gives himself that nickname in Little Garden while he’s talking to Crocodile on the transponder snail. Before they even go to Drum Island.

Not counting Luffy, since he is the recruiter, the order would be Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji! Chapter 6 is titled “The First,” and is the chapter where Zoro joins - referring to him being the first member other than Luffy. And the chapter 68, where Sanji officially joins, is titled “The Forth”!

I enjoyed the video 17/20. But the one thing that got my confused was Q 19. I thought it was nami because she was the 4 member officially to join the strawhats pirates. But if she was the second to join because of oda. Then I will take my point out. Also people read the questions carefully and try not to jump to conclusions of what’s actually right. Just saying.

Luffy, as the founder, is the first member of the Straw Hats! However, Nami was the first to be shown in the anime, while Luffy was still inside the barrel. 😃 Thank you very much for the comment and for watching the video!

Hello! Thank you so much for watching the video! Nami wasn't the first to be recruited, Zoro was. But she was the first to appear in the show, even before Luffy! She appears right at the beginning of the episode 1, while Luffy is still in the barrel.
