In the anime (i haven't read manga) it was stated that Kaido is the strongest living creature in the whole OP universe. I'm thinking that maybe these creatures in thriller bark were already discovered as just pieces of land, or maybe they have not been discovered at all. I don't think that kaido is a stronger compared to these gigantic creatures if these creatures are really what we think they are. I hope Oda will mention these creatures again sometime in the future.

Fun fact: Imu Litterally means Umi in backwards, and there are Umibozu folklore monsters in Japan which prey on sailing ships. Imu also has a body shape similar to those Florian traingle monsters, as well as Umibozu. So the conclusion is, The Florian triangle monster is very similar to Umibozu. They or It is most likely commanded by Imu him/herself to maybe guard something. Why else would they be there? Imu also has Red Eyes, similar to those Florian Triangle monsters. The FT monsters absolutely dwarfed the Thriller Bark, so there's a possibility it/they might be the largest creature we have seen in OP, even larger than Zunesha. (Edit): In one of the latest chapters we can see that Imu took the form of Umibozu, so it cements this theory. 2nd Edit: Saturn turned out to be a spider Yokai creature. Umibozu is a Yokai creature too so Imu having its powers could be possible.

I hope that one piece is not the end. One piece will be the key of a beginning that will explain about the mysteries running around in the series. Like zanisha’s sentences,joyboy, and everything else. This series is so intriguing

They can’t be devil fruit user for two obvious reasons. 1: All devil fruit users have the same weakness of that when any part of their body is submerged even in a small body of water, they lose their ability temporarily, and that includes zoan type users, so they couldn’t turn into a colossal monster. 2: There is a mention of their being MULTIPLE Florian Triangle Monsters, and since there is only one devil fruit for every ability, there could only be one version and therefore one creature of whatever the hell those things are.... I’m just genuinely freaked out by them

They don’t lose their physical aspect that changes luffy when weakened by water is still a rubber man and can be stretched out(arlong park and the fight against the kraken underwater. So depending on the fruit if this is less of a zoan or logia type but some new paramecia that we don’t understand yet. They don’t have to all share the same fruit abilities we have literally just seen the figures clouded in darkness. They could have just eaten fruits with similar changes I.e the boa sisters Or the flare fruit or the magma fruit they share properties and from a distance you probably wouldn’t be able to truly tell the difference. I personally don’t think they are that strongly related to devil fruits but these two points ignore a lot of other aspects we have seen. We’ve already seen multiple devil fruits that are effectively “toned down” versions of others.

Not surprised if there's multiple models of a "Ancient Giant-Giant Fruit" to allow multiple. Awakened Zoans cause permanent changes that remain even while unconscious, as shown by the minotaurs in Impel Down. And as above, permanent changes like Luffy's Rubber Body still remain after being submerged, he's just powerless. When fighting octopus he was only partially submerged and didn't fall unconscious. The florian triangle monsters only have their legs submerged, so it is plausible that they are only weakened and are Awakened Zoans.

For some people who said that This Creatures are just having a Devil Fruit. Well for me they're totally wrong, If it's a Devil Fruit why there is so many of them? It is already said in the One Piece that Devil Fruit consist only one each of ability, and also why all of them have only one shape? for me you're right that these Creatures is based on that Japanese Legend.

I have to agree. They're not people who had Devil Fruit powers and have been defending the Triangle for hundreds of years. I believe indeed, they are Umibozu that Oda is borrowin' from his own homeland's folklore, legends, and mythology. This nearly explains everything about the barrel that was found by the Straw Hats (it also had a bright, red flare of light much like the Enormous Entity's eyes were glowing red), and even though Nami sensed a storm brewin' and tried to get them all out of it, even with Franky doin' a Coup de Burst, they still got caught in really rough storm right before they sailed into the Florian Triangle. So they were caught in a trap not just by Moria's scheme, but the Umibozu were not offered somethin' in return for their treasure trap being found and triggered (lootin' attempted by Luffy).

Not sure about the Devil Fruit theory since the creature seem to be standing in the ocean. Wouldn’t those men drown if they were in the water? And even if they were tall enough to stand on the seafloor, they might still be weakened by the seawater depending on how much of their body is submerged. It would be somewhat pointless to have this supposedly amazing and possibly broken Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit if you can’t even make full use of it.

Imagine casually sailing the seas when you encounter a pillar-like eerie silhouette humanoid standing still in the middle of the sea, shiting your pants is an understatement

Hear me out, the creatures are relatives to Zou, they're apart of the ancient weapon Uranus which is a person that can control all of them and this person is Momonuske. Oda foreshadowed something when he had Sengoku say "what is so important about wano" and maybe this wasn't portraying the poneglyphs made there, but instead the person who will be born an ancient weapon. We already know Momo is able to communicate with Zou like Poseidon is able to with the sea creatures and so what if Momo is able to control these creatures and is the ancient weapon Uranus. Joyboy has been to both fishman Island and to wano so the weapons being born in those two places are not far fetched especially with the feats momo has done. Zou is also the only comparable thing to these creatures in the Florian triangle as far as we know its not crazy to assume they are connected. Lastly, uranus the deity was the personification of the sky and "father of 12 titans"... maybe the father as in the one who can control, and 12 titans referring to Zou and the florian triangle monsters.

I also believe they are people who have the strongest zoan fruits ever tool. It's because its said that zunisha also committed a crime that he was punished to always walk in these fog without stopping with the tribe island on its back, so it makes me believe there was a person before who had the strongest zoan fruit ever that he rules over those zoan devil fruits... however this is only a theory, and can be just a myth. But who could really punish zunisha, and was there a person who was in control of these giants,sea monsters in the past and more powerful?

We see luffy stretching under water all the time though. The whole sea-stone and ocean debuff isn’t super consistent, Plus if the devil fruit gives them a full on physical change in this case they become these demonic sea creatures being in the sea wouldnt make them turn back just weaken them severely.

I have a weird theory but strong one: remember for reaching laugh tale you need map from ponagliff it can't be track by log pose. So my theory is that it is floating island that randomly go around the folrine triangle and it also do not have a magnatic field so it can't be detect by log pose.

Cool theory, but the barrel part is known to be false as that barrel was linked to Gecko Moria, which was leading the straw hats to thriller bark

Theory time: At the point one piece is at devil fruits are certainly not natural. Probably not made by humans either but instead some other intelligent life form from long ago. These dudes are probably guarding the place the fruits were made seeing as they are never seen out of the florian triangle. These guys could have been created by these intelligent life forms to protect the secret behind devil fruits because maybe fruits were too powerful and they decided the world would be better without them similar to what tom did with the blueprints of pluton. They probably made them out of devil fruits that don't need to be eaten to activate. You know how you can feed fruits to swords and guns? Maybe they fed the fruits to the fruits themselves or something. These fruits could have also been made to not weaken in water if they were the last fruits and thus the most advanced ones. They have been there ever since creating fog to conceal the secret of the fruits. I don't know how accurate this would be but it was fun writing it so I honestly don't care if its way off.

My wild theory is that they look like 3 mountains of different height on a island, the base of the three pointy thing are all linked, so it could just be a island with 3 mountains, the 2 eye looking sparks are probably not eyes, just some device on the island. It could be the mysterious God Valley people been going crazy about, who know what Oda is going to pull, I just hope he doesn't forget he has a hole to fill here that he digged 14 or so years ago.

Brook's crew died because of a sickness. AFTER they died, their ship drifted into the florian triangle, and that's why Brook couldn't find his own body. I'm pretty sure Brook himself told all about this. They were NOT destroyed by those monsters

my theory may be stupid, but here: The Florian Triangle monsters may be bigger than we think, because when we look far away from the object, it is small. It may be bigger than 2 Zunesha combined, these monsters may have a connection with joyboy, and their mission has to do something with the one piece or other stuff thats VERY important. I think that theres only 1 of the monsters, the other 2 has no eyes, it may be a turtle thats just his neck is long or a snail with 3 eyes. The second theory of the monsters are not monsters are human doesnt sound right, because once you eat a devil fruit, your only weakness is water. ill try and find more theories, may sound bad or others stuff.

I think florian triangle is inspired by the dragon triagle,not bermuda. And those monster are inside,so they do not protect something,that is their prison. They are Oars. Oars the 2nd or something like that. And the place where enies loby is right now...is the old fishamn island. Under that giant hole is a waterfall and if we go back when straw hats went to fishman island,we can also see a gianta waterfall. And Enies loby is near redline,near fishman island entrace.

the numbers of onigashima are artifitially created ancient gigants, and some people also believe that the monsters of the florian triangle are real ancient gigants. The only other real gigants we know are Oars and Little Oars Jr.

Actually looking back at this it could be possible after all we did see zunesha which is an elephant with zou on its back so it’s not the most outlandish thing to think

I haven't watched the video yet but i think they're giant elephants like zunesha since elephants are very often seen in groups and rarely alone, I think they just look like black blobs cuz its dark and the fog obscures their shape

Ya I had the same question as well. Not only that, but I dont really think Oda draws monsters like this. For instance, the "numbers" from Kaido's army looked quite menacing in the shadows(not as scary as the Florian triangle) but when we actually see them, they dont look scary at all
