It's how I got into anime. I usually hated on anime before because of the wackiness of it all. Now I see there's many genres and I tend to appreciate the more grounded anime, AOT has fantasy elements but it makes sense. Shows like Vinland Saga are a perfect example of the ones I usually like.

Red Swan (4th opening) tends to be a crowd favorite after watching the show. It's really sad when you know the meaning of the lyrics and visuals.

​@@cosmictornado777After posting this comment I actually did some looking through peoples opinions on reddit and youtubers reactions to the OPS and the comment sections to see if maybe this person was right and maybe it's just the people I have seen who don't rate it as highly but I think I was right except people also rate Guren no yumiya really highly, there were a few people who rated Red Swan as their favorite but the most common crowd favorites were definitely Guren no Yumiya, Rumbling and Sasageyo.

I think the "America! o7" feeling you're looking for is "patriotism", which is indeed a big theme in the show.

On IMDB Attack on Titan has 4 episodes in the "TOP 100 highest rated episodes of all time" at spots 4,5,9, and 10.. it's only competitors none other than Breaking Bad and and Game of Thrones

@@JonDejour Before it was review bombed, Attack on Titan had 1 10/10 rated episode and 9 9.9/10 rated episodes on Imdb, while Breaking Bad had 4, and Game Of Thrones had 3

Most people didn't like the 4th opening (Red Swan) all that much at first, because everyone was so used to the hype and anthem-like sound of the previous openings. So it was jarring in a way and people said almost the same things you said "it didn't feel like AoT". Thing is as you watch the show, you'll start to realize that each opening perfectly fits what that specific arc is about. AoT is not just hype action, there are emotional, personal moments to it as well. I know that some people who didn't like the opening at first actually grew to appreciate its meaning later though. You'll see why when you watch and finish the show 😊

in attack on titan the openings really give the vibe that the series is going through at the time

Attack on Titan is Top-Tier at worst, and God-Tier at best. If you haven't seen it yet, I can't recommend it enough. Especially as a fan of One Piece, I feel you would appreciate the emotional turbulence that molds the characters as the show goes on. And the OST/Music is BEAUTIFUL.

Avoid Google searching about this anime, as well as shorts/clips on social medias 😄 And make sure you pay more attention than you usually do to dialogues, little details, characters, etc. You may be confused at first, with many questions. But it will all come together in the end.

I second everything. There's many huge plot things that you can get spoiled so easily on because people are a holes. I have also made me mistake of watching some things and got spoiled. Aot fans in particular are notorious for spoiling everything.

Him : i starting to get idea what this show will be about Me: men you have no clue what you gonna experience

If you are going to watch this show please avoid EVERY SPOILER on internet as possible as you can everyone Know that watching the show without knowing Anything is rare moment that you can not experience again REMEMBER THIS AOT IS About PLOT

@@JonDejourthe term Titan comes from Greek Mythology as far as I know. The Titan Chronos, the father of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. He is the God of time, and he saw into the future, that his sons would kill him. because of that he decided to eat them (He’s a huge dude, a titan). They escaped from his stomach and killed him, and thus the prophecy of the future he saw came true. (Probably inaccurate, as I wrote that from memory, if anyone knows better pls add or correct)

Personally, I always loved Opening 4. I know people probably didn't like it much since it was so different from its predecessors but I like how different it is and it hit so much harder with the season. I remember the first time I heard it and I just thought it was one of those that give you a false sense of security. But I found the vocals and visuals to be so appealing.

Opening 4 hits hard after finishing the anime

The last one ("Under the Tree") is actually not an opening, but an ending. And the visuals that you saw are fan made (and so was full of major spoilers).

You're not wrong about the 'Merica vibes. It's supposed to feel patriotic.

*NO SPOILERS* 2:30 This gets explained MUCH later in the series and its one of the huge plot twists in the story, this anime in the beginning is a doozy to wrap your head around but as you start to understand the bigger picture and it all comes together its priceless. 8:30 Also cmon man you gotta have the most experience here you should know what that is
