Honestly I feel like Lucci has fun fighting Luffy despite losing back at Enies Lobby.

I mean, if somebody said to me that this is how anime fights will look in 2024 few years before i wouldnt believe a crap. Oda really did a major job with the gear 5 idea, and so did studios with animating it.

Lucci would most likely beat “Gear 4: Snakeman”, but gear 5 is such a big difference he had no way to expect it, and can you blame him? He went from embarrassing base Luffy in his base form to getting dominated by Luffy when he transformed to gear 5, and Lucci loves to fight, his only ambition is to kill and fight… even if he is the one losing. He might be a psychopath, but he is an honorable man, and he wouldn’t ever run away from a fight he started.

I wonder what gear 5 will look like when luffy gets serious
