The best thing about Season 1 of One Piece is knowing that they did a great job with what is arguably the weakest part of the story. I genuinely believe that with Season 2 they might explode in popularity - not quite on the level that Game of Thrones did a decade ago, but close enough that Neflix might look at this as their next long term investment now that Stranger Things is ending.

It already was more watched than any other series on Netflix. More than Stranger Things and Wednesday. Can't get much more popular than that. I'm sure as long as season 2 even ties with season 1 in views, it'll keep going. Now days, even 4 or 5 seasons is long term. Netflix cancels series way too soon.

One piece proved one thing. Just because something is rushed don’t mean it’s bad. This succeeded where most failed because the writers cared about the content and not trying to cash grab.

I can't tell you how glad I am you guys and the world enjoyed the LA version of One Piece. I never thought it'd be possible, but I've never been happier to be wrong.

I flipped the fuck out when they teased one of my favorite characters from the end right at the very end. Season 2 can't come soon enough.

When they were looking for a doctor a few episodes back I thought Chopper was going to be teased or get a glimpse of him. I can't wait to see what they do with him, his back story is by far the deepest of any of the straw hat crew

No one can blame you for being surprised at how easily Vice Admiral Garp manhandled Luffy - it really is shocking to see. But that scene is a foretaste of just how powerful people can get in the wild and crazy world of "One Piece", and what kind of enemies the Straw Hat pirates can expect to face on the Grand Line. They've got a long road ahead of them yet, and this episode should make it clear that they'll need to up their game. As for how Garp got that strong ... you'll see. There are many roads to power in their world. Devil fruits aren't even the most reliable way. I really liked what you said about Luffy: "Think about where he started, and where he is now." Still, as someone who's watched the anime from the very start I can tell you: That pales in comparison to where he'll be in the future. See you guys in Season 2!

I watched 1000+ anime episodes of this , 1000+ manga chapters and now 8 episodes of live action , anything related to this show gives me a lot of joy , and i can't wait for more , watching Luffy and gang at anytime is a happy occasion , the team behind this show did such a great job, I felt like everyone who worked on it is a fan of the show and the amounts of things they added that will only be understood by the OG fans was amazing, they did it in a way that don't disturb first time watchers but will be so loved by OG fans , things like the song at the bar , the mark on the box the devil fruit was in , such great details

I remember when this was first announced that nobody had any faith that this was going to be good, because of all the letdowns in the past everybody said that this was going to suck, and it was going to ruin the franchise, but they pulled it off a miracle. This last episode was my favorite of the season. I love when Taz Skylar (Sanji) is on the screen cuz I love his Sanji energy. Looking into him, this man trained with sumo wrestlers and more to get Sanji's fighting style right. He did his own stunts too. There are so many edits of Taz laughing and Sanji in the anime laughing. Obviously, there are also thirst trap edits since he is fine as hell. Also, you mentioned the actors and how well of a job they were doing in these roles. I think that this is because they all are practically living embodiments of the characters, especially Inaki who plays Luffy. Oda, the man who wrote the manga, chose Inaki and said that this is the real life Luffy and crowned him with his hat. Even the voice actress who voices Luffy in the original Japanese dub crowned him too. I love this show, but I won't watch the anime for a while because it is too long, and all the dub hasn't come out yet. I think this is a great alternative because there really isn't filler.

I agree with most of what you said. Netlfix did an almost perfect cast choice. Emily is a great Nami as Taz is a great Sanji. but Inaki... Inaki is simply perfect as Luffy and Im proud as a mexican to see a mexican play the LA version of one of the most important and popular characters to Anime/manga history. I dont think you can beat being casted as Luffy. that's the pinnacle. As well as such a heavy responsibility but Inaki took it and really did the role justice. Oda chose him because he made him laugh. As for the anime. I highly encourage you to watch the anime and even more subtitled because the voice acting is so full of emotion. It might be long but later on you will see that it isnt enough. you dont have to binge it. watch it at your own pace but it something great to see. peak fiction. btw, less then 10% is filler. Naruto has more filler than Op

They had the source material creator that gave a shit about the show with them the whole road. People will say that Oda wasn't involved, those are the same people that say the earth is flat and they're the reason why shampoo has instructions. This shit is on point. But I'm gonna need yall ass to write, invest millions of dollars in it, find actors that fit the role, and direct the shit yourself or shut the fuck up. I can't stand these idiots out here saying this shit was bad. This shit is fucking dope as fuck. This shit has never happened before where the live action was even *tolerable* and now we have number 1 in 90+ countries for what was it like 3-4 weeks? This is art. Y'all should check out the trailer for the live action version of Yu Yu Hakusho. Either way I really enjoyed your reaction to One Piece and can't wait to see the next season apparently the script for season 2 is already done and now they can start production

Loved the finale episode and can't wait for Season 2. I hope they take it slow with the series and have season 2 be about the adventures of the newly formed crew and enemies that they're going to go up against. They really shouldn't rush to introduce new crew members yet. They need to save that for Season 3 or at least have the last 2 or 3 episodes of Season 2 set up the intro of a new crew member. They can easily have this series be 10 seasons long with all the material they have to work with and the viewers will never get bored. Rushing to introduce the crew would be a bad move and skip over a lot of good and fun stories. They need to focus on a few of the smaller stories that come back up in the series later as well as the big stories that have major consequences to the future of the Luffy and the crew. The person with the cigars at the end is a new enemy that's going to give Luffy a whole lot of trouble when he meets him. If you decide to watch more of the anime up to the character with the cigar you'll know who that character is and see the sidekick/partner that is going to get a reaction out of Zoro. The series makes me want to watch the series from the beginning for the third time, but I want to get back up to the current episodes before I do that. I just made it to Luffy's first fight with Kaido so once I'm caught up I'm going to watch the series again along with the live action to see how close they keep it to what happened. I really hope you two watched the Yu Yu Hakusho live action series as well. I'm going to rewatch that anime for a 3rd time in preparation for Season 1. Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌out.

Just a heads up. There are different types of power systems in one piece. One is swordsman power which can be mastered by any swordsman. Then devil fruits. And then there is another power (I'm not gonna tell it's name) which can be mastered by anyone with proper training. Most of the high ranking marines knows to use the last power. Garp knows to use that as well.

No spoilers, just teasers for Struggle Nation - asking every other fan here, who do you think we're most likely to meet next season? Dragon? Laboon? Frankie? Robin? Brook? Ace? Chopper? I mean if we're going to meet Smoker it's likely we'll meet most of the above names

Loved this show and hopefully the live action Yu Yu Hakusho and Avatar: The Last Airbender series are just as great. It's definitely one of the biggest surprises of the year and I'm glad it got renewed for a Season 2.

The story gets better and better just to let those who are not fans of the anime and manga. It just gets better and better and people are gonna love it and they will earn the money they need so they can use it for better effects and possibly cast good actors for hundreds of other pivotal characters. If all of these goes well, trust me One Piece, has the potential to be one of the best shows ever. P.S I tried my best to not spoil anything, but I hope, THAT major arc (manga and anime fans know this) can be made into a movie instead. Its just so much of a main event

Great reaction, Remember when Mihawk first saw Luffy when he was about to fight Zoro and said, "I do like the hat" he recognize that that hat used to belong to Shanks. That's one of the reason I think Mihawk let him go

At the end, Mihawk said to Shanks, "This is the boy you mentioned long ago". I'm like 'WHAT"? He and Shanks are old 'friends'(?) and Shanks talked to him about Luffy!? Why would he talk to Mihawk about Luffy, and what did he say?.. other than I lost my arm saving a little boy named Luffy. It must have been significant for Mihawk to remember the conversation(s) and then he brings to Shanks Luffy's Wanted poster. Maybe it's just me but that seems intriguing.

The anime really fleshes out all of these characters and tells us a lot of interesting/compelling and amazing interactions between all of these characters. If you want to know more about these characters, highly recommend the anime or manga.

The bar is high for season 2. I hope they don't drop the ball cause shit gets crazy after this.

Recently, I started watching the anime, *oof* that's some struggle-animation but the humor, the characters, and character interactions shine through. From the more recent anime episode clips I've seen here on KZread, the animation gets much, much better.

Arlong was light work for Luffy in the anime, his attacks were so weak the animators didnt even draw any blood on Luffy. In fact, as soon as Luffy got serious and stopped playing comedic relief he broke his sword and ended the fight immediately lmao. Also there is no mention of slavery in anime or the original manga, just netflix fixating on race again

Bruh, what? There's damn near an entire arc dealing with that down the road. Oda never intended for that to be a thing because he didn't know his creation was gonna go for so long, but then it did so he delved into that plot. LA allowed him to weave things in earlier via the benefit of hindsight.

💀what is bro talking about? Fish man discrimination was a whole thing, there's an entire arc post time skip in the anime dedicated to this. They even mentioned that Arlong was tryna lead a revolution but was stopped by a strawhat pirate(Luffy). Even in this live action, when that scum marine pissed him off by saying "you're smarter than people give you credit for". He mentioned Jimbei is a warlord of the sea and is helping boost fishman image, but Arlong replies he's a fool and government lapdog. Jimbei is a whole ass character in the anime and a lot of fishmen shared this sentiment. Do your research before you talk trash
