Seun, that was a brilliant question; why is he usurping a project that should be handled by the federal government. This ordinarily appears to be a white elephant project that will soon be abandoned. That Osinbajo the VP is flagging it off does not mean that the federal government is highly supportive of it. All the arrangements are geared towards retaining APC in Imo against the wish of the citizens. Otherwise, why is the federal government ignored incessant calls to open and activate the existing ports in the zone to ease export & import. As for the insecurity as the governor pointed out became a serious issue since the inception of his administration. If he should be sincere to himself, he should know that he is the reason why there is the level of insecurity as we have today. If he so love the state as he claims, let him vacate office today and see if the state will not return back to her peaceful glory. Imo used to be the most peaceful state in the country but today the reverse is the case.

How you know a white elephant project: 1. They don’t know how much it would cost to construct. 2. Someone should tell Mr. Emmanuel Inwuanyanwu that the name is not "Nnamdi Kalu," but Nnamdi Kanu. If Iwuanyanwu does not know the name of the person on whose behalf he purports to be speaking, he should please remain silent on the matter. Secondly, the "release" of Nnamdi Kanu is "unconditional." The court has already ruled that "Kanu" should be released. The court's order did not depend on whether or not Buhari believes that "the Igbo are seceding." So, why is Iwuanyanwu jumbling up matters in the name of fighting for the release of Kanu (not "KaLu"), and the freedom of the Igbo? The point here is, wuanyanwu should perhaps desist from trying to "reinterpreting" the court's decision. Whatever his job is as Òhānāézē Ndìîgbò chairman, that is not part of it. Kanu's lead attorney, Mike Ozekhome, should equally, forthwith, STOP "begging Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu." Ozekhome should, as a matter of conviction, instead organize the Nigerian lawyers to rally, go on a national protest for the government to obey court orders, and RELEASE his client, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Enough of this "begging and pleading on bended knees" drama. Why is the message being sent always that the "release of Kanu is dependent upon the wishes of Buhari, or any other socalled "leader" for that matter? And this is the type of democracy "Nigerians" are fighting to preserve, and perpetuate? Tôtāl Rùbbìsh 😭!

On the proposed Oguta Port, I wonder who will bear the costs of the required high rise bridges in Rivers and perhaps Bayelsa states, across the anticipated ship channel. You guys kept quiet and allowed buhari to build a culvert in the name of 2nd Niger Bridge that’ll inhibit high capacity ships up to Onitsha and Lokoja.
