If you think this version is emotional you should listen to the one from 2013, when Taka also plays the piano while singing. It's a masterpiece! And YEAH, OOR is meant to be listened to live. I totally agree about the emotions every member of the band conveys to the audience. Thank you so much!

There's an even better, more emotional version you really should react to, the 2013 at Yokohama arena, it's hauntingly beautiful. Taka is playing the piano with a string quartet. It's another one of those performances where he's on the verge of just breaking down crying. I wish more people would request from those 2012/2013 Yokohama arena shows. The 2012 concert has the most emotional performance you'll ever see Taka give, Nobody's Home. A must see performance in 2013 is Jibun Rock. It's one of their most unique songs that Taka always has fun performing. In one he rolls around, another he slides down the stage, but this one is special because Taka actually forgot the words.

Yes, Tomoya uses two different drumsticks for this performance. He starts off with two of the sticks that give a more muffled sound, and then mid-song you can see him switching out to one regular stick for use on the snare drum (the word you couldn't think of in English).

The way he flawlessly switches back and forth between English and Japanese is amazing. I've only ever seen one performance of Taka when he wasn't absolutely phenomenal and in that case, he was exhausted and incredibly nervous and singing a song that wasn't OOR's. I prefer watching their live performances. In the US you would be hard-pressed to find bands that play to the audience size that OOR does and that don't fake singing or even playing their instruments.

I agree with the others who said that the 2013 Yokohama version of this song is more emotional. Taka played the piano as he sang and he was actually sick during this performance but he had so much emotion in his voice that it was truly beautiful.

One of my fav ballads from oor. But personally love the one with taka playing the piano. That performance was very heartfelt

The concert you're thinking of is 35xxxv. In case you haven't seen it the 2016 live at Nagisaen version is truly epic. It has one of the best crowd I've seen. At one point there's over a dozen circle pits. The venue is truly special, a 2 day outdoor fest that had 110k people.
