Taking off from studio jam session

Taka truly sings with all his heart and emotion every time just like Chester did. Taka was also one of the guest performers at the "Linkin Park & Friends Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington" concert. He performed Somewhere I belong. You can find this full concert on the Linkin Park youtube channel if you haven't seen it.

@@N3V2-Nevto He is clearly not used to push his voice the same way Chester did. I'm sure he would have done a lot better with a song better suited for his voice. But he gave it a good shot.

I'm so glad that you mentioned Chester. Linkin park and One ok rock got close during Vans tour and they've planned north american tour together than got canceled cuz Chester left us.

oh my god...that had to be such a shock for him, cannot imagine how much he had to be over the moon to tour with his idol and then loose him. In his style he definitely keeps chesters legacy...in the best way possible.

"Why did it end so fast?" You and me both... Have already seen this for a million times but my reaction is still the same every time.

One of his influences is Chester. One Ok Rock is very known for their live performances. Please react to "Good Goodbye" in 35xxxv tour and "Wherever you are" in Ambitions Japan tour. "We are" from Japan Dome tour is also a fan favorite.

You didn't lie when you said that the reaction to Taka was coming soon! Do not get carried away by his appearance, he is over 30 years old! Hahaha I love Taka's voice, I have been a fan of ONE OK ROCK for 5 years and his voice seems fantastic to me, I love hearing him sing acoustic and scream at concerts hahaha. The reason I stayed with them is because of their concerts, the songs sound even better! Also, very interesting that you say that it reminds you of Chester, other comments already explained the reason. Very good analysis ♡♡♡

Please do Taka's Adele cover "Hello." He seriously gives her a run for her money lol. Really shows his vocal range abilities...the dude is a legend.

Wasted Nights and Fight The Night are also great too!

Taka's outstanding vocal skills and how he pour all his emotions to a song is one of the reason why they all have many fans, even international fans. Also, one of the reason why fans prefer live performances of them. In one of the video in making Renegades, he once said that he had to learn the meaning of those lyrics first for him to convey the true emotions that needed for that song before he can properly sing it. Not to mention english is not his first language. That is why I really commend him for that. If you want to hear more of vocal prowess of OOR/Taka. Try to watch TAKING OFF in their Studio Jam Session. Also, WASTED NIGHTS live in Yokohama arena and CLOCK STRIKES live in Saitama Super Arena. WE ARE and CRY OUT in Tokyo Dome are also great

The time that you mentioned about Chester really broke my heart once again. Taka (One OK rock vocalist) really has a high range yet is not compromising the emotions he's giving in his song. Also, heactually guested in a Linkin Park tribute concert and sang one of the linkin park's song, and delivers a Chester vibe vocal/performance/song. Both his parents were famous Enka singers in Japan. He has a brother who has a band and he is great, too but Taka is the best singer in rock and pop I’ve heard. He is a great artist!

I'm not part of one ok rock's fandom, but I've been listening to them since their first album and I've seen how taka's vocal habilities have changed through time. This song is especially astonishing knowing that Taka is not a native English speaker and this song includes a lot of words that are pretty hard to pronounce for a Japanese speaker. wow i didnt look up what one ok rock is up rn. i saw them live like a decade ago and they were really awesome but it was different time in my life haha good to hear his voice is still incredible 👌🏼 (and yes im a 90s kid 😂) btw if i remember correctly its pronounced like one o'clock just with a 'k' after the o' and not like one okay rock. but idk maybe it changed lol

They were supposed to tour with Linkin Park and ONE OK ROCK being the opening act but unfornately due to Chester's death, it didnt happen. Everyone was so devastated, what more Taka who had been dreaming ever since to collabore with LP and chester he considered him as his hero and actually LP is one of the reason why they formed a band, it just so sad they were literally my two faves and its really disappointing that their collab didnt happen...

I didn't knew why I cried when I listened to this song, you said it, Chester. Taka approach to vocals is pretty alike to Chester, the difference is that chester put all his pain in the music and we didn't really noticed, i think that Taka (and Japanese bands in general) tend to let that pain go away and focus on something that maybe chester was needing: Hope I'd say for you to react to We are from OOR and Man With a Mission (another band that's amazing) both will be what I just said: "Your pain will go away, have hope kid"

Their cover's of Adele's Easy on Me and Hello are incredible too but their new song Let Me Let You Go is definitely worth checking out! It's so hard to recommend when i love so many of their songs.
