I would say they would probably be a statistical underdog in the 4-5 or so teams ranked above them in the state of florida including St.Thomas etc. Whats the most competitive conference in florida?

Because of money and Jet Lag to a lesser degree, if Hawaii plays against The Chicago Bears that's an 8 hour flight for the visiting team just to put it in perspective, and even further for teams out on the East Coast.... the expense of flying longer distances and the exhaustion of mainly the Hawaii players (8 Road games plus play offs if they make it) due to more time spent on Airplanes would make it unfair. Honolulu has Aloha Stadium and enough population + visitors to support an NFL Franchise so that's not the issue

That 2012 Poly Team got smacked by Narbonne 56-0 in the beginning of the season and they cameback and won the championship. Dont sleep on Poly, it's not how you start, it's how you finish

Damn, Hawaii football has really evolved. When I was a kid, only one team could pass really well and that was St.Louis. I also remember watching Kahuku vs LBP and St. Louis vs De La Salle. The Hawaii players were bigger, but the Cali players so much more skilled and athletic. The Hawaii players didn't even stand a chance.

@@digbick3441 no I did not. I was 12 in 2002, but with the power of Google I found it was 31-21 De La Salle ahead of St.Louis. My buddy's brother was Jason Rivers on St.Louis. The LBP vs Kahuku game was 42-16. Maybe that's the one I'm thinking.

Yeah, St John Bosco is a Private School with big dollars that recruits the studs from everywhere. Mililani is a public school with limited funds and very few out of district kids. Both have Great Coaches

I watched this video and tried not to comment but I had to. To the brothers from LB Poly, hold your heads up. Ebody like to c our people lose so don't let that game or these comments get u down. If y'all lost to this team a million times I would still ride with y'all. In this world it is ebody against us. It's been like that from the beginning. So it's like our people say where I'm from " win, lose or draw, at least u tried and the people who luv u will always luv u no matter what ". I know out there in Cali y'all hear the prison stories from y'all big brothers, uncles and some of y'all dads how it's ebody against the brothers. Even the guards help the other people when they r at war with our people so I have nothin but luv and respect for all of y'all for leaving it all on the field and having good sportsmanship. All of y'all r a credit to your people so stay positive.

This isn't a zero sum game brother. You can (and should, and thank you BTW) show love for our boys and know that the Sons of Oahu are survivors. It won't cost anyone anything. But choosing to box ourselves into a corner in fear of others has never worked as well as engaging has. Even when we've had to engage the other side with violence our most sustained victories were not culturally monolithic. Unless you actually believe we ruled capitals of Europe for 700 years without exchanging more than just a bit of culture. Statistically speaking though you're actually correct: white supremacy didn't murder "half" of the Hawai'ian people. In 1778 when Cook landed there were nearly one million Hawai'ians. Do you need to know that my family was bought by Quakers in the 1760s? Freed by 1793? If I tell you that we taught at the Ellicott school that produced Dr. Banneker does that help? If I tell you that my sisters were born in Africa will that make you consider that Africa is a collection of sovereign African nations governed by Africans (hence "Post Colonial") while Hawai'i has no chance of ever getting America to admit that there is no evidence Hawai'i ever agreed to become a US territory? Long Beach poly will never be what they were. Early mid 90's late 2000's growing up in LBC poly was the most feared high school team. Do too the number of homies that gang bang.
