ok missing blizzard and draco meteor back to back litterally has a 3% likelyhood of happening , and we both know either one would have chunked salamence , but yeah a 63% chance of being unable to act afther a serene grace rockslide afther paralisis ( rockslide has a 90% chance of hitting , serene grace makes it a 60% chance of flinching , with an overhall 54% chance of flinching a pokemon afther clicking the button , paralisis is 25% if they aren't flinching already , so the probability is the 25% of (100-54) , the 25% of 36 is 9% + 54% = 63% ) is hax , and prevented them from winning ...

@@Glacial_floofs yeah, when a pokemon is burned their attack stat gets cut in half, and the only way to get it back is to either cure the burn or get +2 attack, which doubles it back to normal

I feel like a lot of these guys don't know what baby Pokémon are... Temp literally had zero babies on his team.

I don’t understand how you consciously call someone a hypocrite while simultaneously saying that 1 flinch against your own Pokémon is pure luck and lost you the entire battle compared to 2 misses in a row and calling them bad at the game and then still losing.

It's the expectation that they should win. Not just "I'm going to win" but "unless something is broken or wrong the sun will rise tomorrow and I WILL WIN TODAY". thus everything that is in their favor is the normal order of things while everything that works against them is something 'wrong ' that shouldn't have happened. 'lucky\cheat\hax\ext" is just the label for 'the broken something that made the wrong thing happen'. The rabbit hole can go deep in conspiracy. Wait till you hear people swear that a multi billion dollar company is purposely spending weeks and millions to design a system SPECIFICALLY to make sure they. Exactly this one person, loses. The good ones can spin it well enough to get YOU believing them. The bad ones... Well, you saw the video. But yeah, the only outcome that would be acceptable would be them winning.

Because this game is more toxic than league, full of shitters from games that just don't teach you how to gracefully accept when luck is with or against you. Sometimes it feels like more of people who play Showdown have never touched a pokemon game in their life, and done zero research beyond opening the s rank or uber listings for whatever format they are in, and copying the top result. As time passes, they maybe start copying different results, or even building sets with their sss picks, using common items and never looking into anything beyond that, only picking up tricks when they lose and aren't too busy punching a child to notice what they lost *to*. The kind of person who gets showdown not because they love pokemon, but because it's free. Like, there is no reason anyone who plays pokemon shouldn't be able to look at Zoroark and know what Zoroark does. People should not be calling hacker in 2022 when there is a goddamn Zoroark running illusion.

If I lose badly and get a "GG" I usually just quickly type "Oh, go tend to your Gushing Granny, then." and then quickly leave the lobby. It shows no salt, no sportsmanship, but I usually get several confused PMs from the guy who beat me which I will then ignore. It's a small measure of victory, but it is mine.

​​@@626lancer not a theory. it's applicable in some cases there's a bunch of free hacking tools for pokemon roms and i spiced up a rom of emerald by editing the rosters for every trainer up to the elite four. gave to it a guy who has played only sapphire. he's like, "this is weirdly difficult" 😂 it lowkey made him salty in some battles edit: i wish i still had that rom. i even changed the type effectiveness chart, leading to ice becoming more useful and fire becoming more defensive lmao it was great

"Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe my series, this game rewards blind luck and nothing else, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with my opponent changing times on me last minute and refusing to provide confirmation prior to the day of the match as to play times, losing this way somehow felt even worse than I had thought possible. My preparation was superior, my play was superior, and I lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within my control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not. I am done with competitive Pokemon, and you won't get a fond farewell. This community is infected to its roots with a degenerative disease that grows stronger over time but stops short of killing its host. Seasons used to have a competitive spirit at their heart, this has been transplanted and replaced with an artificial organ that feeds on vitriol and mockery from insecure little boys that heckle by the sidelines and tear each other to shreds over scraps of attention. The environment we fostered has trapped us all like this in a vicious cycle, and escaping it requires acceptance of the harshest reality we all scramble to explain away, that none of the countless straining efforts we put ourselves through here will ever amount to one single shining glimmer of significance. I would make this the end, but tempt6 is still making videos, and I would never leave so many great friends out to dry, so I'll suffer through a few more games for them. @@spirittail4958 Combee gets the ability Hustle which boosts damage from physical attacks my 50% at the cost of reducing accuracy by 20%. The Bagon has Sheer Force which boosts damage by 30% at the cost of the secondary effect of moves not applying. This stacks with life orb for another 30% damage boost, and even waives the 10% life loss penalty.

Think moves that inflict a status condition on your opponent, reduce the opponent's stats or boost the user's stats. As an example, flamethrower has a 10% chance of burning the opponent. Flamethrower won't burn now, but its base power is increased from 95 to 124. Hustle just increases the user's attack by 50% while decreasing the accuracy of all physical moves by 20%.

​@@quentincl2932I did the calcs, the only situation where the Combee gets the KO there is if the Blaziken had little to no investment in defenses and the Combee had max investment in attack while wearing a choice band.

I absolutely lost it with the scatting Combee... that was a beautiful moment.

Well, no. There were 3 "baby" Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Combee, and Bagon. Guess he just called Poliwhirl a baby Pokémon because he got it confused with Poliwag (or considers any Pokémon that isn't fully evolved to be a baby).

@Omar Kusmic A baby Pokémon is the Pre- Evolution of a base- form Pokémon. For example: Pichu is a baby Pokémon, it evolves into Pikachu, a base - form. Many baby Pokémon Are usually obtained by hatching eggs and have to reach a certain level of friendship in order to evolve.

@@stono8374 ah no, it is not 85 % there are like 6 different outcomes. the only 2 that result in being attacked are "rockslide misses" + "paralysis does not occur" and "rockslide hits with no flinch" + "no paralysis". Since paralysis check and rock slide acc / flinch check are independent from another , the combination of 2 events is just the multiplication of their isolated odds. with that we have 6 outcomes: rockslide miss + no para rockslide miss + para rockslide hit w/out flinch + no para rockslide hit w/out flinch + para rockslide hit w/ flinch + para rockslide hit w/ flinch + no para the only 2 which result in a counter attack are rockslide miss + no para and rockslide hit w/out flinch + no para rockslide misses 10 % of the time, and paralysis triggers 25 % of the time (aka 75 % to not trigger) so the result of the first scenario is 7.5 % the result of the 2nd result that allows a counter attack is 90 % chance to hit rock slide * 40 % to not get flinched * 75 % to not get paralyzed which is 27 %. this means the total chance of a counter attack is 34.5 %. the other 4 outcomes result in no counter-attack and have a combined probability of 65.5 %.
