Cataplana is a very famous dish in Portugal and is originally from the south of Portugal, from the Algarve region where you can find the best Portuguese seafood! This time I made a monkfish cataplana which is the perfect fish to make this dish!
Inngredient list:
- 1 monkfish fillet
- About 200 g of shrimp
- 300 g of cockles or clams
- 300 g of mussels
- 1 red pepper
- 1 or 2 sliced onions
- 1/2 laminated chorizo
- 2 or 3 sweet potatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- Coriander

This is the best made cataplana recipe video on KZread! I recently acquired a cataplana, and made your version last night (unfortunately without the mussels and clams due to my husband's allergy). i would think cooking the seafood for 10 minutes would make it rubbery.
Never seen it made this way. I don't like it.
