Thanks for the review. Always love seeing a GerRC CineSomething. LOVE seeing you flying both as cinematic and some ripping, shows what a quad can do outside it's intended comfort zone. I myself are fine with what ever system your review quads come in. You have a good variety, hard to cover em all. It's also KZread so not like being in the goggles, still get a good idea. Wish our weather on the west coast was that nice, sooooogy city. Cheers!

Oh mannn, I still have some parts from my gen 1 one of the first batch cinelog25 still running great. Amazing quad. Definitely gonna get the frame and build one.

Just got my mob6 and daaamn such a goood feeling 😂 my 65mm tank fireflywhoop was just a slow turtle. Mob6got 60% more kv and weights 4g less and i got some 300mah instead of 380mah. Love it. Made my firefly a firefly again and now it feels sooo good on 1,6inch props :D had so much fun, but was scared too bc of the wet weather (yes i conformal coated it, but i dont Trust it 100%) and Yesterday were so heavy winds (20deg flight angle to stay on the Spot)

I ended up going with the Cinebot 30. The 25 was the one I really wanted but I just felt like I would end up wishing that the drone could fly faster outdoors or handle wind better. I am sure they won't me dramatically different but I did stop at the Cinebot 35 which would fly the best outdoors but then I felt that would be too far away from what you can use indoors... so 30 it is! I will say in your video you made that Cinebot 25 really rip around, was very neat to see.

Love these little guys, I built a standard one for filming with the naked gopro, one but with the foxeer unbreakable frame with some speedybee led strips and one with the 03 unit. Top minicini's that can rip! From realestate to skateboarding and mountainbiking. They should make the prop guards out of coke bottle plastic they'd be indestructible! Ill be getting one of these frames for sure! Cheers Nick!

This is the exact idea Im going for however I was thinking of using the speedybee meteor led would I need a voltage regulator or is it just solder and go?

The Runcam Wasp doesn't do wide-screen. Something to do with a specific chip many manufacturer's use for the camera control's being unavailable so an alternative has been sourced.

I think you should ultimately make the decision based on what you like. But my personal preference is analog for weight,cost and simplicity. And I can't afford the goggles.😢 Thanks for your review sir.

I think it only makes sense with o3 if you are compelled to put a gopro on it Vista is good for 5 or 7 inch if you want to save some weight and put it in 4k cam ❤ Lovely review as always

honestly ive switched to 03 a few months ago and i dont think i can ever go back. sure it costs like 200$ more in most cases but it is damn well worth it in my opinion.

I order a 25V2 03 with Crossfire yesterday. Unfortunately it says 20-45 days postage from GEPRC website but I’m well looking forward to it!

I think O3 makes a lot of sense on a Cinewhoop these days although if I was putting a GoPro up top I definitely wouldn’t care which video system was in play nearly as much.

Meh, I do realestate and while the o3 is great for flying, it is not as good for footage, gopro still superior when it comes to dynamic range, low light quality, and recording vertically if you need it.

I still love my 25 and 30

i have the cinelog25 v1 and i really like it except for the fact that the frame is super fragile. the plastic broke after 2 lite crashes and then the carbon fiber cracked through where the motor screws are since there was no support from the cracked plastic whoop. that made the motors heat up trying to keep it balanced because the motors wanted to splay ourward etc with the cracked plastic. i bought a foxeer foxwhoop25 frame to replace it after seeing a video of your torture testing on it haha. i love to put a 450mah pack on my cinelog25 and freestyle rip it pretty hard around mine and my neighbors yards so the foxeer frame should be good for keeping it intact haha. its actually a great little quad for ripping in my yard with lots of obstacles and things to bump into and get hung up on so i really like the whoops on it but also still having some performance. i also just got the mobula8 2s and the flywoo nano 2s with the 1002 motors on it so ill have lots of micro fun coming up :)

Hi Nick, Thanks for the great review, I just ordered the analog version with TBS and GPS. I love flying from inside to outside and exploring how much range I can get outside from my dining room table. Anxious to find out how far I can go with the 1 watt VTX. This purchase was a real bargain especially for these times.

Running digital for drone tour work, and I still do have one vista drone, but I really only consider O3 setups now for OSD. Wondering what you'd recommend as far as the lightest possible whoop that can carry one of the geprc naked hero 11.

Thats a good question. I am not sure I have one off the top of my head in the 2.5inch category for the lightest. The flywhoo flylens85 is likely the lightest that would be capable of carrying a naked gopro. It would be most capable of flat smooth flying.

I just ordered one of these but with an O3. I think for versions of what to test, the craft itself is more important than the camera. I think everyone has seen enough reviews of O3 to know what it is all about. I really appreciate your reviews - always great. I always wonder what your neighbours think of the quads flying around - are they cool with it?

Thank you for the feedback. neighbors are fine with the flying. In my 7 years not one complaint. I don't fly if they are outside enjoying themselves, and if they come out while I am flying I shut it down for another flight or two unless they tell me to keep on flying. I have a running text with the neighbors as well.

I am still using vista because of the investment I have in my DJI vista system goggles v2 DJI remote and ten different quads plus I just bought this one with a RunCam wasp vista

Hi Nick, Great video and review of the GEPRC Cinelog25. I am impressed, I think these little guys are great for inside and outside freestyle. If they could make them less noisy. Thanks again for the video and information about this quad.

I'm running vistas/links on all but my smallest digital quads. I only care for 03s on the ones that are too small to carry a gopro mini 11 and use them as a gopro substitute. Otherwise, I'll save the $. I still fly analog close to 50% of the time between tiny whoops and trying to learn racing.

I use Vista only on my 5' freestyle with a Gopro on it. Why using something that doesn't record on board? For my smaller quads I have O3

Something like this 03 but review all of them. Even the Vista.

@@NickBurnsFPV I guess the v2 goggles never fit nicely on my face, tried different foam padding but it never felt comfortable, so I got fed up with it. And I could not get my whoop fitted with it because of the weight. Walksnail is a much better versatile system imo. And the O3 is to expensive for me right now.

How much does the foam, and antenna mount weigh?

As far as I know, one of the advantages of the vista is that you can make it waterproof vs the O3 that isn’t.

I'm flying mostly for work these days and I'm still fully committed to flying vista's. Still running v1 goggles with no problems. I'm not convinced goggles 2 and 03 air units are worth switching over my whole fleet.

I prefer O3 because of the 4k DVR. But I realize lots of people share goggles dvr or use an action cam.

How do you feel it flies compared to the OddityRC Xi35? (or 25 if you've tried that quad.)

I have only tried the XI35. The are really much different. 3.5inch props will carry far more weight for battery/flight time, or external HD camera.

I am still on Caddx Vista/Runcam Link because i have the Goggles V1. No need for upgrading yet, so i am happy about DJI non-O3 videos as well :)

I have about 6 of them. The red labels preform pretty well. For performance flights the flower labeled gnbs perform better for me.

I would suggest the cinelog20 as its smaller lighter and could be more durable.

Have the original Cinelog 25 and I loved it. Had a lot of fun with it, It's a good quad, a bit heavy, but well I did fly even with a full size gopro, but it was an overkill. Eventually the vista unit just died :/ Landed in dry grass after a crash and disarmed but could not get to it in time to disconnect the battery. Overheated, the end. Seems to be an issue with those things. I am thinking to reuse the frame and flight controller but with O3. Should be possible.

Interesting. i haven't had many reports of vista/link faulting with overheating.

For aggressive / acro flying (without a GoPro camera) do you like this one (the Geprc cinelog25 v2), the flywoo flylens85, or the pavo20 (new 3 cell version) better? Using DJI 03 versions on each.

@@NickBurnsFPV Yeah the fly lens 85 looks nice for acro and it's also smaller. My main concern about that one is having a modified (naked) dji 03 air unit. I hope those last as long as one that is unmodified since they don't have the heat sinks. But I've not seen any major issues with modding the 03 air unit so maybe things will be fine in the long term. Thanks for all of your awesome videos! I'm glad you take the time to fly everything aggressively, It's good to know what can handle some nice acro and what can't. Especially for me because I'm not interested much in cinematic video. The fly lens 85 seems to check most of the boxes for what I'm looking for.

The ultimate issue with single camera FPV is that when you want some realistic motion blur with the O3 you /need/ to be running the camera in 24-30fps. That means running in low latency mode. For certain kinds of flying (casual racing or freestyle) it's just too much latency and blur. You end up wanting to run a gopro as well anyway so you're back to what you're getting from a vista in the end. The real frontier would be to have dual camera modules into one Air unit. One in HD 144fps sending to the VTx for the pilot and one in 4k 30fps D-Log recording to the SD card. The Goggles 2 already record DVR so there is really no need to have additional recording just for a DVR feed, so that could easily be repurposed for a dedicated footage camera unit. If they could make that for less than the price of buying a GoPro (and it'd be significantly less weight), that would be vvvery interesting.

The 03 is important! Most of us are flying fpv because of the 03 nowadays.

I’m trying to decide on what cinewhoop to get. I want the option to do freestyle and real estate fly thru. Under 250g but can go over with a go pro. In your opinion what’s better? Pavo 20, cinelog 20, or cinelog 25 v2???

If the gopro is a full sized with battery go pro we will want at least a 2.5inch prop. A 3inch will handle the additional weight better. I think the cinelog 25 and cinebot 30 are solid choices, I think 3.5inch cinewhoops would have some specific challenging flying through a house, but its possible with the proper skill set.

@@NickBurnsFPV Honestly, I think there’s enough content out there on the older DJI system. People generally know what’s up with it by now. The o3 is new and hot and can be switched out in most quads with the “vistas” and the flight characteristics will basically be the same. Just say, “this is the o3, but the older air units will fly the same… buuut the image won’t be as good.” Aaaaaaand you get them clicks. 😜 However, I get your point… there are lots of non-o3 DJI pilots. 🤷‍♂️ It’s a tough one.

Your reviews are the best! With the O3 and crossfire, I'm not getting the times that you mention here with a 650mAh. I'm down in the 2:30 to 3:00 minute range for hover times with the exact same battery that you mention. I kinda think it's the battery, because I get better flight times from a 450 mAh and certainly with 700 or 900 mAh I do better as well, but then the weight is over 250 g on the bigger batteries. The O3 and crossfire add some functionality, but the weight difference to stay under 250 g is an issue.

Do you have more than one of the same batteries I am using in the video? I presume the batteries in question are GNB as I have so many of those. Another question would be have they been flown down far below 3.5v/cell, how far below and the frequency. It also possible that the batteries came from a bad batch, which doesn't happen much but is something that has happened over the years.

​@@NickBurnsFPV I have 2 of these and they both tested the same. These are brand new batteries and I'm careful not to run under min voltage, or like 15% of full charge. I was pretty shocked when on my first flight I was only getting a little over 2 minutes and that's when I decided to break out all of my 4s and run a test. None of my other 4S batteries are HV like the 650. Comparing weights the 650 seems too light, but maybe the HV chemistry makes that possible? I get similar results on the Babyhawk 2, but with much improved flight times. I also learned that the Babyhawk is surprisingly efficient. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

@@wa389 The batteries your testing are exactly like the 4s 650mah I show on screen? The flower print on the label? If so I really can't explain the difference outside of the previous replies. Maybe did they change the props to a different set, or more weight with an external hd camera mounted that is heavier than the naked hero 9 I tested?

I always get the vista when it's just a "for fun" drone. It's cheaper.

While I don't have a gopro 11 or a mini, I only have naked/lite gopros, I can tell you that any small propped quad doesn't fly well when we add a lot of weight. The smaller the prop size the more sensitive the quad is to added weight.

I have the ELRS/DJI O3 version, and I accidentally mixed up my uart settings before I got the quad to bind. I understand you are a busy guy, but I’d really appreciate a screenshot of the correct UART settings for each channel. Right now I have a $500 paper weight 😅 Thank you!!!!

I figured it out shortly after posting this. Turns out that the USB port won’t power on the receiver like my other quads. As soon as I plugged in a battery everything was bound in seconds. For the UART stuff… I just had to take the thing apart and see where everything was soldered to. Haha 😆 lessons learned

@@TrevorBrown753 Good you got it figured out. I am wondering why in the wide wide world GepRC hasn't posted the cli, they have the 35v2 posted. I sent them a message. Might just be something someone forgot to do, but I also have had at least 3 other questions where the cli would have solved the issue.

IMHO there isn't much to show for the inside. Generally its an AIO and the vtx. We can see all the screws and posts holding the prop protection to the carbon from the outside.

@@NickBurnsFPV i guess now frames are better but under is my experience i bought beta 95x and the disassembly of that quad was horrific 1. Drop all four motors wires over prop gaurd but under carbon frame 2. AIO has to be soldered after mounting motors too difficult 3. Rx module is over aio which has to be done while aio is out ( if you fry it hell) 4. Vista / RL antenna has to be in position for it all to fit and I've broken two wires I simply stomped on it to my hearts content and after taking out vista 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I haven't broken anything. I have knocked over pictures on the piano, but that is as close as I have gotten to breaking anything other than the quad :)

I think these quads should run on lions but im always afraid that it will turn off o3 or vista/ RL i think 1100mah lion cells 18350 used in vapes and infamous zorro that would really last long

We certainly can run those cells in the slower flat flight. They certainly won't help in any sort of faster/freestyle flight.

The wasp is indeed a 4:3 only camera, no 16:9. and yes still running DJI v1 with Vistas.

I see some major poor choices of bottom plate protection design. These whoops land hard.

Haha ur HD Camera mount is cracked... That should 100% be TPU. I don't know why they make it plastic. It breaks so easily...

Do you all live in the same subdivision? You, Drone camp, captain drone all seem to have the same house, more or less.
