This, along with the rest of this scene is proof positive that in Jack McCoy, the terms "badass lawyer" are NOT a complete oxymoron; THIS is the old fire-and-brimstone, balls-out, take-no-prisoners prosecutor that L&O fans have grown to know and love over the years.

My FAVORITE Jack McCoy line was the time he told a defendant "You're NOT on trial because you didn't buy the black Barbie!!"

To this day I still think it's rotten that NBC didn't give this show a more ceremonious ending... especially after being on the air for 20 years, getting positive reviews from critics for the most part, and having its best ratings 12 years after it began, a pretty remarkable Testament of longevity and good writing... It would have been nice to have a little more recognition for a show I firmly believe was one of the very best ever to hit the TV screen... but at least we got to see McCoy at his very best in this scene of the last episode. My favorite TV character of all time! Brilliantly written and acted.
