I started doing the same thing to a 1979 Goldwing on my channel. The engine is seized which I believe to be a stuck valve or piston. I put rubber plugs in the exhaust ports and filled it with marvel mystery oil to loosen it up, then the same brakes you have I have are rusted shut and I don't know how to wire the new lights so its been sitting for a year. Check it out it sure looks different than when I started. Oh I forgot to mention it used to belong to Merle Hagart the country singer.
Every now and then we get to see a prime example of just because you can doesn't mean you should

I love this new rig, I don't know if it has any market value though, nevertheless I enjoyed watching you tear it down and back together as usual, can wait for part II. To me it looks like the kind of damage that flooding causes, maybe that's why brakes, clutch and rear differential were so nasty. Nothing that you can't tackle 👊🏻

yea I just thought it was cool and unique and wanted to see if I could get it to run, it didn’t cost to to much either. I was thinking the same thing but figured it would be full of water, I think moisture got in from the pcv hose and corroded the clutch. but thanks for everything brother!!

For next tine remember 0000 steel wool. It polishes aluminium gasket surfaces to a shiny new look and cleans a good bit of rust..all without damaging the aluminium. Of course use discretion and sense wheen using steel on aluminium no matter how soft. But I've never damaged aluminum even with the next corser grade but wasn't being super agressive with it.

Good idea removing the pod filters and going back to the stock air cleaner. Too many people slam those pod filters on because it looks cool. But unless you rejet the carbs to compensate for the change in airflow, you just made the engine run worse.
