One of the reasons why I ADORE musicals! The choreography, the singing, the acting, its all brilliant and always takes my breath away! ✨

Our schools drama club did this show about 4 years ago and my great friend was Wednesday. She played this song for me about a week ago and it’s been stuck in my head! I heard you singing this and was like WOW what talent! Loved this! You absolutely killed this!

Jessica Shord try saying the hard notes on pitch. Normally when you can do that you can also sing the note on pitch. Also, think of saying the vowel more then anything, because once you think that your mouth will do what it naturally needs to do. I hope this helps and break a leg!

Jessica are you singing with the original recording? Try singing the last note with the original recording to hear the pitch and to see how off you are. That will give you a form of reference. And as I said before try saying the note on pitch with the music! I hope that helps a little :)

For one normal night someone in our cast was really good at doing tricks like aerials and stuff, so during the part with the ancestors when they go: “one normal night, one normal night, one normal night Wednesday wants.. etc.” we had her do aerials and dance moves. And it fit perfectly because she was the ballerina ancestor too. Sadly I didn’t get to see it though since I was Pugsley and I wasn’t onstage, but when she did the first practice I got to see her do it. It was actually pretty cool!

I always cry at this song. I don’t know why. It isn’t even a sad song, but it always brings out the tears in me.

I loved the ensemble joining in so much. The harmonies were beautiful. And the moment was just so perfect. Like they didn't overshadow Wednesday but that added some really nice harmonies. I think it was genius. Cudos to that director!!

I've only recently found out about the addams family musical because I'm in it and going for Lucas, so I've been looking at loads of videos from it and this is just my favorite cast, Wednesday, Lucas, Fester all of them are brilliant and the comedy part of the show is nailed perfectly.

Well, wednesday goes through a lot of transformation, my recomendation is to look for some of the original material, that and try to not emulate one of the portrails of the actress, play a lot, try also to watch beetlejuice, both the musical and the movie, specially since lydia in this portrails is a lot like wednesday in the musical, try to avoid the cartoon since her portrail is way different, Break a leg!

AHHH I HAD AUDITIONS FOR THIS SHOW LAST WEEKEND. AND IM STILL WAITING FOR CASTING AND IM DYING I JUSFNWANT TO KNOWSW update 6 months later cuz im back here just before show season starts: new zealand got hit with a 3 month lockdown, so instead of performing in september we are performing Feb 2022. Carmen Awwww thank you so much! That means a lot! Acting wise I would watch the live action movies for inspiration. I based my Wednesday on Christina Ricci’s interpretation a lot. However be sure to show the dramatic difference on how Wednesday is feeling in pulled, like how she likes this stuff but is confused as to why. Singing wise when it comes to the belt don’t scream it that’s very harsh on your vocal chords and could hurt them, think up and over almost as if you are mixing the sound instead of straight up belting. You should feel the buzz of you voice both in your ribs from “chest voice” and eyes/nose area of your face from “head voice”. I hope I explained it good and you understand everything hahaha. Break legs at you audition!

The Girl With The Uke It depends on the song in the show. I personally think Wednesday starts off completely dark, but because of Lucas slowly changes, but when he won’t come with her she goes back to dark. Instead of changing back for him he changes for her! As for the humor she likes dark humor, but the only time she should be like actually funny is in “Pulled” where she doesn’t know which way to act, and doesn’t know if she likes that or not! Hope I helped a little 😁

My school recreated this musical and it slayed 💅

Carmen Wednesday has a strong pop voice with a belt. Vocal range typically is an A3-E5! Hope that helps ;)
