Even though this is the first time I read it, without knowing the actual meaning behind it and before looking it up, I see it as a very melancholic and tender poem at the same time. At first the lyrical I seems to consider the stars as beautiful but very sad objects to look at, something that reminds him of happier times that he can no longer experience. Unreachable but incapable of ignoring them, he chooses to "get closer" to them by calling them names of people and things he knew and were part of his life at some time in one way or another. And all of this he tells his Mother, who might not be a part of his life anymore. So the sky if full of nostalgia but, like he says by the end of the poem, even him has already a star with his name on it and even though he tries to hide it by burying it, he knows the earth and the starlight will only nurture it and make it blossom like grass or a flower covers a grave. I think this is is his way of reminding himself that whatevers happens, good or bad, shall pass and we as humans can always find the way to survive the toughest moments and stand tall. The soothing and delicate animation for this was gorgeous and almost made me tear up, it caught all the feelings I had while reading this just right 🥲

It reflects on the deep emotions associated with the night. In this poignant piece, he contemplates the stars, which serve as both a source of solace and melancholy. The night sky, with its vast expanse of stars, becomes a canvas for his thoughts and musings. It's a meditation on the human condition, our fleeting existence, and the desire to connect with something greater than ourselves. The poem's brevity and simplicity conceal the profound introspection it offers, making it a timeless exploration of our relationship with the night and the cosmos.

Such a lovely poem. From the poem, we get to know that the poet is reminiscing his past and going through his memories of all the precious things that he remembered in his heart and the people that he cared for. He thinks of the natural surroundings such as the sky, season and stars, friends, neighbors, animals and also the longing towards his mother. The poem portrays his longing, despair and hope. What a wonderful poem.

The animation is fantastic Artistic. The music is quiet and very nice to listen to. The meaning of the poem is deep. Everything gets mixed well. Amazing presentation. Looking at the sky full of beautiful bright stars evokes a lot of emotions: our past and memories are refreshed; a feeling of longing for someone we loved; The dreams we want to achieve; And the desires of our hearts. Just like this, the desire to live germinates. The last line is very soft. I have a lot of love and affection for this video.

It's incredibly amazing and gives me deep nostalgia. I'm so grateful and proud that more Korean literature is being translated and reimagined in this way for the rest of the world to experience and appreciate. It's very beautiful. The author, Yoon Dong Joo, must have been looking at the night sky while writing this poem. This 6k animation is as beautiful as the poem. For me, black and white make me long for the sparkle of the stars in the sky just as the hero of the poem longs for his mother.

The images move as the words appear in the screen, while it becomes darker and brighter. The animation matches the poem so well, with its whimsical drawings, black and white colors, and calming music that evoke nostalgia. The poem and the animation also seem to remind me that even if it’s autumn now, this season of loneliness will pass too, and so will winter. And finally, spring will arrive, too.

This piece exudes an undeniable charm. Yoon Dong Ju, the poet, appears to have been inspired by the nocturnal heavens while crafting these lines. The 6k animation effortlessly embodies the innate beauty of the poem. Personally, the monochromatic style awakens in me a deep desire for the brilliance of celestial bodies, echoing the poem’s theme of a protagonist yearning for a lost connection. Thank you, LTIKorea, for allowing us to see this beauty in his poem.

It is very pleasant to sit amidst the lush green fields under the starry sky and look back at all your lovely memories. "One Night I Counted the Stars" is a literal depiction of this. However, poet Yoon Dongju went one step further and tugged at the deepest strings of our hearts and forced us to take a trip down the sweetest memory lane. We know that time changes everything, but the things that once seemed beautiful can never be replaced - even when loneliness strikes and molds a person into someone different. And this feeling of longing is one of the many reasons why we are considered kind.

This animation makes an incredible work trasmiting emotions and taking us along as the poem advances. The images move as the words appear in the screen, while it becomes darker and brighter. And the man that appears at the start makes the video even more touching, because we can imagine being in the shoes of someone actually feeling or thinking all we see. The author communicates what he misses or considers precious by calling the stars, mentioning repeatedely his mother, who is far away from him. That's why the whole poem evokes nostalgia. However, by the end, there is an inspiring moment when he refers to his name and says that spring comes even to his star. In this way, the poem ends hopefully.

In the literary work, One Night Counting the Stars, by the author (Yoon Dong Ju) We can appreciate how the stars, the seasons are associated with life experiences, how through nature we fly to the memory of emotions, which become unforgettable memories by tying them to the stars. We can also see how as soon as the morning arrives, the future arrives rushing and leaving behind the golden youth that is so longed for.

Korean literature is always so amazing.. no matter what form it is in, I love Korean literature. This is a very beautiful work 😢. And I loved every second of it. We know that time changes everything, but the things that once seemed beautiful can never be replaced- even after loneliness strikes and molds a person into someone different. And this feeling of longing is one of the many reasons why we are known to be compassionate. Now commenting on this soulful piece as a fellow astrophile, this entire animated composition alongwith the literary verse resonates deeply with me. I believe that was the intention of the creators (both the poet and the graphic designers), and they succeeded in achieving it. Great work!

This is such a beautiful piece 😢. And I loved every second of it. ❤ In whatever form, distance can cause our hearts to seem so lonely and yearning for the unknown even yet revealed to us. But engraving memories in our hearts and hoping for the best in the future seems to be something to hold us together, piece by piece. ❤

During animation, the poem becomes very easy to understand and exciting scene. The poem makes me feel the sadness of being away from the people and things we cherish, just as the poet longs for those who are dear to him but are far away from his reach - like those distant stars in the autumn night sky. As he looks at the stars, he names each of them after people he loves, especially his mother. Mother always loves her children and prays for their progress.

The animation and soundtrack perfectly represent Yoon Dongju's poem "One Night I Counted the Stars." When watching the animation and listening to the soundtrack, these touched my heart. I felt like I was standing next to the poet Yoon Dongju, and we were looking at the same starry sky. I listened to him read this poem, and I understood his longing and melancholy, as well as his expectations for the future of the country.

Through this poem, the author perhaps tells us the letter of a child who is alone, he writes to his mother with symbolism, the stars he sees at night are the beings that he misses for sure because they left pleasant memories in him. The night is the time when everything is quiet and lonely. The hill is his memory, where the stars go and stay, the spring and the green grass is the conviction he has of seeing them again in the future

The poem is a poignant exploration of memory, longing, and the passage of time. The imagery of the sky and stars serves as a symbolic backdrop to the intimate memories and emotions conveyed. The author evokes a sense of vastness juxtaposed against personal memories, creating a tapestry of nostalgia and melancholy.

While watching the entire video, I experienced an unusual emotion. It was a mixture of comfort and disquiet, stemming from the realization that, regardless of our present company, we may spend most of our lives in solitude. This video portrays the sense of solitude and the quest to improve one’s situation. The stars, the sky, and the animation were all metaphorically exquisite. I extend my gratitude to LTIKorea. ❤

Seeing bright stars at night is a very beautiful and natural sight. This is really an amazing and wonderful scene. The author tells what he misses or considers precious by calling the stars, which are far away from him, repeatedly mentioning his mother. That is why the entire poem highlights old memories. However, in the end, there is an inspirational moment when he mentions his name and says that spring comes to his star, too. Thus, the poem ends hopefully. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful event ♥️

It's very beautiful. The Writer, Yoon Dong Ju must been watching the night sky while writing this poem. And this 6k animation is as beautiful as the poem itself. For me, the black and white color makes me long for the brightness of the stars in the sky just as the hero of the poem is longing for his mother. I hope to read the whole poem. thank you for making this video. Hope you can post more 6k videos.

Yoon Dong-ju’s poem “One Night I Count the Stars” and its animation are both beautifully made and make me feel various things: nostalgic and sad, yet comforted. The poem makes me feel the sadness of being far away from the people and things we cherish, like how the poet yearns for those who are dear to him but are far beyond his reach-as he looks at the distant stars in the autumn night sky, he names each one of them after those he longs for, especially his mother. The animation matches the poem so well, with its whimsical drawings, black and white colors, and calming music that evoke nostalgia. Then, toward the end of the video, as the poem becomes more hopeful, with the poet talking of spring coming to his own star, and to his name that he buried “on the hill where so much starlight has fallen,” the animation also becomes brighter. At this point, both the poem and the animation uplift my spirits. They seem to tell me that even if stars are far away, somehow, we can still find a way to feel connected with them, albeit not physically. The poem and the animation also seem to remind me that even if it’s autumn now, this season of loneliness will pass too, and so will winter. And finally, spring will arrive, too.

This was absolutely beautiful I just say the animation was very pretty and engaging I could take my eyes away. It was so much better that is was black and white. I felt like It suited the mood of the poem. The music as well went perfectly with both the poem and the animation. I had never read this poem before re but know I'm quite interested in what this author has produced. I do wish a bit that it was spoken as well as written though I felt I would have added a bit also it would be accessible for those who can't see.
