I've released when the politicians put their foot in it ! They never use the word that they got sacked or fired, they prefer to use the word *resigned* still get paid for life when they do so. Lovely jubbly son.

Yeah, kind of. If you SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT, you say or do something stupid that causes you trouble. If you're HOISTED BY YOUR OWN PETARD, you suffer as a result of trying to hurt someone else. I'm waiting to see Putin hoisted by his own petard in 2023,

@@hasibrahman3930 I'd just say I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY MORE POSTS CLAIMING THAT . . . but if you really want to use SUBMITTED then (1) is better as it's short for POSTS (BEING) SUBMITTED . . . Btw, why don't you join our Facebook group ENGLISH QUESTIONS ANSWERED? We deal with these sorts of questions there all the time.
