One Man CQB

Posted @withregram • @cozz_actual One man CQB while it’s not ideal. If you can master the basics you can still implement these techniques in team dynamics. One man CQB is also a tool for home defense and most civilian scenarios.
To my knowledge there isnt a government body that teaches a one man cqb course. (Except maybe damn elements from GRS, DIA,NSA)
So LE/Mil guys you aren’t SMEs at it just for being in a team. This isn’t my gun and yes we know the riser is on backwards.*

This is a corner-fed room, and the only area he couldn’t clear from slicing from the hallway is the “deep left” corner when he gets to the door, in which case it looks like he’s about to button hook and clear. He even chokes the rifle up when he’s about to make entry which is good. The only thing I can’t judge is his footwork while entering mainly because the video cuts off. Guys, even though this guy is “looking very Hollywood” this is actually the proper way to clear and enter this room, although I’d slow down on the slicing a tad. Ex-Military and now SWAT for anyone wanting to say I have no idea either

@DjSourNips hes showing how to take a doorway, but in my opinion, it was a little sloppy. He should have pie'd the room first before hitting the other side of the door, but the gun transfer to the other hand is smooth. He brings the stock over his shoulder as well to cut the corner of the doorway to immediately clear the left corner. I just hope he re-shouldered his rifle when he passed the doorway. I seen many people get adrenaline and forget to re-shoulder immediately. If so hes doing great, and you're just a hater

Man, theres a lot to unpack here. Bare with me, ill do my best. The only reason this has that "Looks good for the gram" vibe is because this man is moving buttery smooth and fluid. Hes moving quick enough to actively engage and clear, but alow enough to be smart and actually see whats infront of and around him. His positioning of the butt stock is actually very sound and rightnwhere itnshould be, as he can look over his sights, not through them, to scan and see whats infront of him without limiting any of his view. Its not uncommon to place your butt stock over your shoukder when entering a room with a deeo corner, where youd have to enter and immediately turn to clear. You can see him bring the gun in close and tight right before the video cuts off snd he prepares to enter the room. The deep left side of that room is the only spot he couldnt visually see and engage during his initial walk up and slicing on approach from the hallway. So hes preparing to turn in and button hook. Slow is fast, fast is smooth. This man was moving swiftly yet very, very smooth. That only comes from a ton of practical training and experience. If youre going to do 1 man CQB without knowing what youre doing, understand youre going to fucking die. First attempt. If youre doung it withna team and you're inexperienced, you might be looking at 50/50. But this very short clip here is actually a very excellent idea of how this should be performed 🤌🏻

Hips in the direction of travel, smooth yet somewhat quickly to avoid lingering in the opening. Staying back a bit from the threshold to avoid exposing his muzzle to the room, breaking the gun down (or in this case up over the shoulder) for the same reason, not exposing muzzle to the next angle, all looks good to me lol idk what these "experts" are bitching about. .. Nice big step into the room to keep balance centered (no leaning, no peaking) nice full step through the threshold, punch that gun out and you only have to worry about that deep corner, everything else has been cleared from outside the room. Its all good. Lol. To everyone saying you shouldnt ever do 1an CQB, u may have no choice. And atleast with a corner fed room you have better than 50/50 odds of going the wrong way. Centerfed rooms are scary tho. Literally a coin flip if you step in and chpose the correct direction, or expose your entire back to an asshole whos about to kill you. 1 man CQB is an easy way to die, but If you have to do it, this is a good way to go about it lol 🎉

What in the world did I just watch. Open door…. Walks across it. Now the enemy knows exactly where you’re at and all they have to do is stay still and aim. You on the other hand have to maneuver in such a way that the enemy won’t except it. Not fooling the bad guy in any way when there sector of fire is literally a 4 foot wide hole in the wall lol

My biggest issue with all these cqb videos is the fact that everybody wants to go so fast and just clear the building in like 3 seconds. If you see any SF members they take hella time clearing buildings and almost always throw grenades in their first. A lot of these dudes think they’re John wick but In reality if it takes you an hour to clear a building then that’s better than being dead🤷‍♂️. You can’t retrace death like take your time and throw nades

Honestly, not bad, given I dont know the configuration of the room IE: any adjoining rooms, doors closets, dead space etc. The only thing I'd have done different after seeing it's corner fed is owned the real estate and kept visual on what Ive already cleared by pieing the door and then punched into the corner
