Thanks for watching, everyone! As I said in the video, this was filmed in August. The surgery went well. I'm still not back at 100% (the hip still aches on a fairly regular basis), but at least the parts that needed to get fixed were fixed. And if you haven't already, be sure to check out the latest video on my new fishing channel: kzread.info

The way you walked up that mountain, there can't be much wrong with your hip man, lol. I played a lot of rugby in my youth and needed a hip replacement by the time I was 50, I could hardly walk up the stairs lol. Great vid man, keep up the good work when you get moving again. You are a fit guy, you wont have any trouble with the physio, thats the most important thing.

5 years into my hip replacement surgery. I'm sitting here thinking with all the hiking you do, you might be heading for a hip surgery in the future. You are so young to have troubles like that. I have a knee replacement next Monday. I'm 72 now and can enjoy your videos since I can't go like I used to. Thanks for all you do!

Wow, great footage from the drone! Cassie, you are a real trooper, and I can see how much you trust Tristan. My favorite parts? #1 The Mountain Goats. #2 The drone shots of the Provo River Falls. #3 The view from the top if Bald Mountain. I looked up the geology of the mountains on Wikipedia and now I understand why the falls and the trail look like staircases: The shale ! Very cool. Thanks for the ride along with you and your wife. Blessings on you both.

Your great advantage for an excellent outcome after hip replacement is that you are very fit. It looks like both your upper and lower body strength are excellent. I am amazed that you are able to manage the pain so well. Most patients say they have much less pain after surgery. I hope you feel the same way.

Watching this video 3 years after you first posted it. i never knew the Uintas provided so mny fantastic views. I only took a drive one time to Alta, Utah ( Wasatch Mountain range) many years ago (1974) at almost 9,000 ft. I never knew Utah had mountains at the 11,000-13,000 range. Iwill be sure to go back and explore the area along with eastern and southern Utah as well (also the Canara waterfalls in the cedar City area). May I ask how , at your age, you have had two hip surgeries? I am 73 yrs old and drove trucks most of my working career, also have old sports and rinning injuries, but havn't needed hip surgery yet. i do have to get the bursa area injected twice a year though. I hope your recovery went well. Obviously it did. I've been watching yur more recent uploads..LOL!! Great video with you and Cassie!!

SUV RVing Is it a little scary flying the drone over an area where if it drops you know it’ll be gone for good? Great video shots from on top.

No, not really. Rightly or wrongly, I have faith in the drone that it won't just randomly drop out of the sky.

Glad your surgery went well 👍🏼. I have a question about the compass 🧭 you wear on your chest strap. How do you use it? I have a fear of getting lost hiking and it holds me back from going on hikes by myself. Thank you ahead of time for any advice you could give.

What is the name of the Water fall? What road were you on? Hiway 150?? What is wrong with your hips that you need 2 surgeries?? My goodness! I got new knees 2 years ago and your videos make me want to get out and hike- but there is no way I could sleep in a car- you'd have to crawl in and crawling is not recommended on artificial knees. I think I could do Bald Mountain, but should do some training before hand besides going up and down the stairs regularly. Thanks for the inspiration.

When my wife is in a video, my priority is making her feel comfortable with the filming. She doesn't feel comfortable being on camera much or talking on camera much. That is more important to me than her having more screen time for the benefit of viewers.
