These videos are 6 years old, but the truth was true then as it is today! As I read the Bible, I always watch the corresponding episode to give me a preview into the context of what I am about to read. Incredibly helpful to understand scripture on a factual and real level. Not just a fictional story, but a collection of historical documents and eyewitness accounts. THANK YOU!

I do the same. Such a wonderful commentary on each book. Thank you Dr Smith.
I woke up extremely early this morning with a sense of dread even b4 a thought occurred. I was feeling bad for actions in my life that caused destruction throughout the years and throughout relationships. I have a paralyzed cat who I named Ezra when I found him dragging around as a young kitten 9 months ago. All this time I've wondered why I chose that name for the little guy. All this time I've been meaning to study the book of Ezra. This morning is the right time. I am extremely grateful to know that I am being given a second chance. A lot of what is being taught in Dr. Smith's lesson here is actually taking place in my human experience now. Now, I will have a blessed day. Now is the only time we always ever have. Love to all. We are not suffering, we are being led. Like the kids say " It's all good."
Lord have mercy on us 2021 as we go through this Plandemic!
The wisdom contained in the Word of God is truly a gift to us all in its application to our lives. Our lives in the Lord are truly of those on a battlefield. Thank you for this teaching in the Book of Ezra.
God bless you abundantly Sir,in Jesus mighty name 🙏.
Thank you! I recently came across your site and I'm loving it. Thanks to God because I needed a teacher and found you.
Clean clear teaching. Thank you so so much!!
Brilliant!! I love the way you expound and give understanding of the book the detail of the events, God heart and then relaying to the modern day saints and the church! Perfect! Exactly what I've been looking for. Alot packed into one hour.
Pandemic 2020 I love every video. Rewatching

You are a great teacher and so easy to follow! Thank you, Randy!
Thank you, the book of Ezra was given to me at the end of my Prayer time this morning. I have been listening to a few teaching because I asked God for Understanding. Last night before bed, I shared a message its time for us to Prepare & if the Parents don't want to take heed at least begin to prepare your children. Because Technology is desensitizing them. This was truly great insight.

😂 awesome! I love how you emphasized "again"... Glory to God for HE is patient and loving! HE could've put an end to all this so long ago but HE gives us chance after chance to correct. Thank God for Jesus and the Holy Spirit!! 🙏❤ now we just need to listen!
This was so very good for me at this stage of my life! Thank you thank you! I can apply so much of this information to the different areas of my life! I will no limit where conformations and Godly wisdom comes from. Grateful
And interestingly Cyrus is part of Biblical prophecy Isaiah 44:27,28 That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: 28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
These are incredibly well done, thank you. Trump fulfilled God's will for Israel much like Cyrus.
God gave me another 2nd chance
Study shows people are 85% more likely to believe you if , you add statistics........ Great video tyvm

Thank I was wanting to learn about ezra
I learned new insights from all minor prophets you taught....MY REALLY BIG QUESTION IS #1God commanded the sabbath in exodus to celebrate from fri. Pm to sat. Pm.... should we not consider that at all... (I recently worked with a seventh day adventist... in their mid-20's... they looked forward to this... sorry...NEVER HEARD A CHRISTIAN SAY... "cant wait for sunday ... Why ??? Obligation over participationm..... same goes for feasts of tabernacles...or "booths" several prophets sayiing celebrating😢😢😢😢🎉😢that feast would trigger the end time harvest.. All about obedience which is greater than sacrifice... Any comments z?? Love to hear them
44:44 "Don't ever overlook the value of a good family." God chose the earthly parents of Jesus carefully. Next question: Ezra 6:22 mentions the king of Assyria. Does that refer to Tattenai, mentioned in Ezra 6:13? Perhaps Assyria was a vassal kingdom of the Persian Empire by that time. One could get lost trying to piece things together. as empires rose and fell with some frequency.
Blessed of course, but how do we know they were building too small, and earlier, they were building from the foundations inwards? Other external sources? Thanks!
Interesting explanation on God possibly turning down those who want to serve, but are not qualified to serve. How do I now reconcile this with God not calling the qualified, but qualifies the called? (i.e. Moses)

What happen to the foreign wives and children that were exiled in Chapter 10 of Ezra?
Did you mean we have to meet God halfway in chapter one to have him bless us? Just curious.
OK, I have another question (if you happen to see this): In Chapter 10, Ezra separated the families because they were "never supposed to marry these people in the first place" -- can't that be used now for someone who gets married and THEN learns that they were not supposed to be married to this person in the first place? (Again, not being picky, I just wanted to know how to address it when it is brought up to me --it has been). Thank you!

He covers the matter more deeply in GCBI Leadership Lessons of Ezra Pts 1, 2 :) I hope it answers your question!
I LOVE these lessons. You keep mentioning "God's People" (appx. 58:47 -- time stamp)...is this the Israelites, Jewish people or does it pertain to all Christians? I truly am learning so much from this series! Thank you!!

When God refers to His people in scripture, it’s always the Jews/Israelites (Jews & Israelites are the same:) However, we as Christians can respond to the principle or lesson of what he’s telling his people to do. I hope this helps.

Actually, we see in Exodus 12 that all who kept the Laws of the Lord and were circumcised "whether alien or natural born" were treated as His people. So, it is debatable whether this was a "grafting in" of those who were not natural Israelites. If you believe that our God is constant does not change, it is reasonable to accept His people, were those who kept His laws. (Moreso when you look at Matthew 1 and the lineage of Jesus. Both Rahab and Ruth are mentioned, neither of whom is a natural born israelite) I am no scholar by any means, but its something to delve into a little deeper as an important note of study.
It would be nice to have you read the scriptures then speak about it.

I like your idea, perhaps an optional (although time consuming) video could be edited with someone reading the passages? I like your request bc after all, I think Ezra himself read the Word of God, publicly (where they could gather).
Just trying
