Yes, that would be accurate ! "La vie en noir" is not an actual phrase (like "la vie en rose"), but you may understand it as always seeing things from a pessimistic perspective

Its totally right. Im an english tutor and my main language is french. Ill live my life La vie en noir = reference to La vie en rose but the exact opposite here which means his life is pretty dark. "Ill live my life The black/dark life". Also, dansant avec les morts = dancing with the dead. You can tell his life is full of darkness.

Recently lost a friend to depression and found this song a few days after and it broke me pretty much instantly. Haven't cried in so long. Beautiful song, made me think about the dark thoughts in my mind and just a glimpse into what somebody I loved felt for so long. Let somebody in, it's hard not to hide sadness behind a smile, you have no idea who will lay awake crying because you're gone.

I'm sorry you're friend was taken from you. I get what you meant about the song, it really breaks me down too. This song sums up all the intrusive thoughts in my head and shapes them like a lullaby. I know things will get better, I just hope things better for you sooner than later.

So I struggle heavily with dpdr (depersonalization/derealization) and this song hits so close to home because it describes so many of my feelings every day as I appear blurry when I look at myself as well as everyone I see and I have trouble feeling real or “feeling like a human” and I usually just feel semi numb but am bothered constantly by these feelings as well as being a spectator as I feel separated from my body and more like a voice it’s actually rlly cool how well it matches up to these things

The French in the song " la vie en noir dansant avec les morts" means dancing in the dark ( or black) with the dead. Sorry if some one else got to that first. I relate to this song in a point in my life (not to long ago) I've changed so mutch only to realize while looking in a mirror I became a shell of what I once was. I took a a unreasonable amount of time for me to realize that. Since then I've been trying to get back up on my feet and fill the empty shell. I've struggled with identity and it takes a toll on you. It's not relatable for too many people, I just happen to. 2.) People didn't look to find the meaning of subliminal and just ignored the line, which I was almost guilty of. So, Subliminal: "(of a stimulus or mental process) below the threshold of sensation or consciousness; perceived by or affecting someone's mind without their being aware of it."
