Vulcan XH558 runs her engines for the final time. Sat at Doncaster Airport, Sheffield, XH558 was the last Flying Vulcan. The Aircraft stopped flying in 2015 and has sat at Doncaster ever since. In Recent news, Doncaster Airport has closed, leaving XH558 vulnerable. The Vulcan To The Sky trust announced they’d be moving this 50 ton bomber by road, by dismantling the aircraft. They also announced that due to being dismantled, the aircraft’s engines would never run again, hence the final engine run event. Footage rolls as XH558 taxis past the neglected Doncaster Terminal, to inevitably shut down her engines, for the last time.
