There's more to the story than any of us on here will ever know! No one but SSI and rtj have the real answers,

hmm ah the michigan tracks, those names take me back to when I first started going to races, and we had a paved 3/8ths 5 miles from here, this was early 1990s before we had pictures we could just go look up to see what the places looked like, those were some of the tracks that the auto value valvoline sod winged sprint series ran, though they did both dirt and paved, always thought crystal was this really sparkling fresh paved track, you know how a big place like irp or one of the fancy tracks on tv look, grass is always greener on the otherside, and thought of crystal pepsi cuz of the name, then I see about 3 years ago its a 40 to 50 something year old dirt track , not far from a lake and always though all the other tracks they ran would be nicer then ours we had here, which come to find out wasn't necissarly the case, took three years to see a dirt race when we finnaly went to eldora which was not near as built up as it is today, but still was a bigger place to see the big time series, but I still thought of it as just a local track, not knowing when they said it was the fastest clay oval it actually had the record before vollusa took the record, and didn't relize till a few months ago going though the old programs from the times we went there back then that I saw racers that turned out to be actual ledgends of the dirt track, like jake hewit, tim engler, and kieth koffman, kenny jacobs, van gurley, and scot kalita to name a few that were part of the series at the time we saw the allstar circut of champions, oh and mark and steve kinser. I always wanted to see dirt racing, as we just went to baer field and avilla that were paved at the time, once my cousin did go to bryan ohio but it was ran down and it was a year before they shuttered the whole thing, though butler was also not far away and we had gas city montpieler and kokomo not far away either but liked the big tracks, I still do when there is a good fight for the lead, kinser fan myself, and kreg isn't bad but hes not mark or his dad, these days usually a fan of sunshine, or zeb wise, parker price miller or justin peck, but just the same will cheer on kids and grandkids of ledgend, and watch larson, day, and seevey now that he started in wing cars, also kind of like cj leery and brady bacon as well as spenser bayston, zane devault, and chase stockon, and will clap for chris windom as he does soo many forms of racing, as well as buddy kofoid midgets though I like tmez, and varies with the day. silvercrown depends whos racing, but like bischak roarig ferns, leary, or one of the guys from indiana, I also like grant, kody swanson, and bacon if its a dirt race, hes pretty good on dirt and is the promotor of the voglar classic at winchester and talked with him a little after it was over one year.

Also, big props to Ryan Timms last night going from new track record, to junking the car, and finishing 4th in the feature!

I always understood the Rumley deal was a place holder until Hudson found something more permanent. I don’t know why so many are surprised he didn’t stick with that. I think people are still being blinded by those salacious rumors that turned out not to be true and just want to be mad at the kid. I understand the way this all went down was less than ideal, especially for RTJ. He’s a real talent so I know he’ll land a good ride. Excited to see what the New Deal can do with SSI!

Gonna be rooting for RTJ now more than ever. O'Neill is starting to really smell like trouble.

Have you seen the latest info on RTJ? Just seen he is teaming up with jimmy owens and koehler motorsports.

None of this will matter in a month. Or when green one falls. I'm here for the racing. If I wanted drama, I'd watch Young and the Restless.

Not much of a LM fan but the obsession with chassis builders is so weird to me while I rarely hear anyone care about engine builders. It seems that some think the chassis make is more important than driver talent, very strange imo

I'm a Bobby Pierce fan but why you get rid of rtj is stupid and O'Neal is iffy at best

I’m going to say there won’t be much of a change in results and we can put to bed that RTJ is the greatest thing to ever happen to dirt track racing as some claim he’s at least.5-.75 of a second faster than every driver out there and AB gets the credit he deserves

Both will have rides and sponsorship, time will show where they go or stay with possibly

Hudson O'Neil is overrated and this move will back fire, I am not a fan of Thornton either, but he's way better than the so called Real Deal!

Did I say lap 9 yesterday….i meant lap 23. If Williamson didn’t leave the rubber (notice at what lap during the feature the track rubbered up) to try and pass a lap car I would have been dead on with the winner. You mite as well pay to watch paint dry then pay to watch a NE Mod race. You’re getting the same value. Can someone who’s in the niche of a niche sport tell me why my once beloved mods are so terrible to watch now? I feel it’s gotten really bad these last few years.

More sprint car content and less late model coverage please!!!
