Oh yeah, Harry has always been pretty outspoken and has always been incredibly charming from the very beginning here. He hasn't ever really changed. He may have got a little quieter, which was kind of to be expected, but not much. He's always been full of life. The only thing that's different between 2010 Harry and 2018 Harry is his fashion sense. And even that isn't that much different. A little more bright in color and style, but his style now really does fit his personality. Anyway, it was obvious to people that bothered to pay attention, even back then, that Harry has that X factor quality that this show looks for, even more than any of the other contestants including his fellow 1D members. People just cannot help being drawn to him. Simon's a very smart man. He knew this and he used it. Harry is a born star. Simon would have had to be blind not to see that and take advantage of what he found.

His mic was turned off you can clearly see he’s mouthing the words and you can’t hear his voice at all , possibly because he didn’t have enough time to practice with the ordeal of going to hospital.. it’s funny the producers of the show never gave Niall or Louis one single solo in this whole programme 95% of the solos were given to Liam and Harry . Niall , Louis and zayn were very lucky at that time to get into that band based on their auditions which they admit themselves weren’t great - but wow what a development they have had 😍

Personally I think the guys had a great sound right from this first audition by Simon's pool.... It was a pure sound without fancy lights, sound effects, chorus singers, pyrotechnics, music synthesizer or autotune.... They were more impressive to me RIGHT HERE in their pure voices with no frills, than at any time later...

Great way to spend quarantine😂😂 tbh had to skip "torn" simply because I know that Louis wasn't allowed to sing and it breaks my heart too much because they're on about how much they need him but he's not even singing. But I think it's nice in times of uncertainty to be able to go back to a time when things were just amazing- hence the beginning of 1D

WHAT!?!?!? HE WASN'T ALLOWED!?!?!?! Ik that him and Niall always got the least solos, and their mics always got turned down or taken away, but he wasn't actually allowed to sing!?!?!?. I was so confused, I was like, am I def, like wtf did they turn off his mic. But he actually wasn't allowed to sing. No matter how many times I hear about a new thing they do to him I still get PISSED. Thank you for coming to my rant :)) I'll be here all week

Louis was "allowed" to sing. Both him an Niall just did the AaahAaahs in this. The boys and the vocal coach decided who sang the main vocals. And, sadly, it pretty much remained that the main singers were Liam Harry and Zayn

That was such an easy decision to be made !! Not only it will be more popular to bring young boys, they were all too pretty n it would be easier to negotiate n train them young like we do in general

if you look closely he isn’t holding the microphone as close to his mouth as Harry and the others are so I think that’s why you can’t really hear him

It just clicked I guess)) As soon as Harry Lambert started to work with Harry you could see the difference. And I'm still processing the fact that you can actually see him in Perfect mv xDD

No, because I don’t even know myself, I was never a fan of One Direction but for some reason Harry always stood out to me. Is he the best? No. Are the other boys just and maybe if not more experienced and talented? Yes. But for some reason Harry Styles stood out to me and he is who I follow even today

Re watching there first auditions make me cringe so hard don’t get me wrong though I love one direction. And also the part where Harry is bombarded with girls just makes me cringe so hard I have no idea why 🤣

It's so cute how excited and young they were when they got through.

Simon made the right decision mentoring one direction.

Louis and Harry deciding the group meeting and hanging out after bootcamp was a brilliant idea. We fell in love with the bond in the group as we saw their growth in music. 1D is each and every one of them who they are and what they represent beyond the music that's why the fandom is so strong even in their solo careers

21st century version of the beach boys. I can go for that. I love the Beach Boys. They weren't a bad band at all, and have some really good songs that are fun to listen to.

When I was looking at the video it actually made sense that Simon would pick One Direction. They were young, cute, Talented, they have Charm, good personality and characters and they would be able to bring a huge amount of viewers for the show and an even bigger demographic. I had no doubt that Simon would sign them and he did.. and they became a HUGE Huge boy band worldwide! And they didn’t even win the show!! From a business standpoint, Simon knew what he was doing! He is a Genius!

wouldn\t have worked though if the boys appeared to be lazy asses. He was lucky they were very dedicated and hardworking for their age. just compare their attempts at harmony in lead-in to first live show (next video) and just a couple of weeks after, they were already trained, it happened very fast and they seemed to soak up all the knowledge they were given. Makes me proud of them for some reason when I think about it, and I have absolutely nothing to do with it. I might be becoming a directioner xDD

Their first hug will always be iconic 🥺

if you watch the torn video from 2015 he told them to turn his mic down at one point I think he's supposed to sing backup or whatever that called & it does make the song sound better

While I absolutely love 1D and am glad they made it through then. I actually have to skip by Princes and Rogues being rejected and seeing them cry because it's heartbreaking. They all look like such nice guys and they weren't bad or anything, and they were unique. I just don't like seeing that one guy from that band crying on his close up. He looks like his whole world has just been taken away from him. It's so sad. I hope they are alright now. I wouldn't have mind seeing them on the live shows. I think they would have been interesting. Actually, I think they maybe would have made it further than FYD did. Sure I liked FYD too. They were talented as well and seemed like good guys. But they weren't very unique. They were sort of a typical boyband that had been done many times already, well almost. There was a little more diversity in there band than most. I liked that. But Princes and Rogues were actually different from most boy bands. I like the cool, nerdy look. It was so different from the usual too cool for school look that most boy bands do. Princes and Rogues actually looked like a 21st century boy band, not a 90's boy band like FYD did. One Direction also was up to date and looked 21st century. That's another reason to love them, because they were different from the average boy band as well.
