The 1975 wrote girls (they write all of their own songs) Matty didnt write this either though. One Direction wrote this knowing it sounded like 'Girls' and shown Matty in the studio and were basically asking for his permission to use it. Which I dont think he said yes but its released now anyway. Theres an recent black and white NME interview on youttube about it.

MiaStyles xx Matty didn't receive any writing credit for any of the songs on Four. Not even the blatant rip off... If they had used the song he had helped them write he would have received writing credit. They didn't use his song. Instead they just used the exact same bass line from 'girls' in a slightly different pitch. Whatever, 1D does it all the time. Look at Steal My Girl and Best Song Ever. Don't get me wrong I love the guys I've been to two concerts two years in a row I just have difficulty with their newer music now that they're getting writing credits for songs that sound so blatantly like existing songs. I just want them to push themselves for some more originality. Theres a difference between getting inspiration from another song/artist and used the EXACT same beat with different lyrics over top. (ie. Midnight Memories, Does He Know, Best Song Ever, Steal My Girl, Change Your Ticket) I just want more musicial integrity from the guys as they grow up and seem to be taking on a bigger role in the musical side of their career

Change your Ticket, Spaces, and Night Changes are in my opinion the best songs on the album. Spaces is my personal favorite! Love Four. Best album so far!

I’m turning 25 in a week and I been listening to them since I was in 8th grade. Their songs sound better every time I listen to it lol. Their music makes me feel better about my life for the 2-3 minutes. “And it’s not good to be all alone” .

zayn's high note is the closest i ever will be to heaven

Can everybody just stop complaining that it sounds like someone else's song and just enjoy it because the song is just perfect :)

the nostalgia after not having to listen to the band for a couple of years (maybe 2017 since i was starting to dislike the taste). Well here i am, slowly getting into it again and it hits different like i remember my hs days where i just listen to their songs i downloaded on the internet with "this" oldschool phone of mine. In this round of time, kinda missin those days so i think i should get along with it again.
