That's really nice. The WJ should have come with a swing arm like that from the factory

I agree. The in cab one is ok until your loaded with stuff or run even slightly oversized tires. And having it on the roof rack sucks

Thanks! I do plan on modifying the tire swing here in the next couple months as part of the other upgrades but those plans arnt finalised yet

Unfortunately in my area a cop would pull me over immediately for having a blocked license plate

oh yea i didnt show it in the video but i moved the licence plate onto the tire swing for that reason. they would nail me immediatly for that here too. i just zip tied it on eventually here ill weld on an actual; licence plate mount but i want to put a jerry can mount on first

Could that carrier sag & rub onto the bumper?

In theory yes it could sag but it already rubs on the bumper some so I'm not overly concerned with that. This winter I would like to fabricate a nicer swing completely out of DOM tube that holds the tire offset and can hold some Jerry cans so this swing will be permanently temporary hahaha

Working on a similar project currently! I have solid steel bumper already so I think mine will be a bit easier. Thanks for the video I found it very informative!
