I was born that season. Sadly, CBS ordered Mackenzie Phillips the pinkslip after the season ended.
On September 25th, 1983, millions of Americans were watching these opening credits on CBS while Soviet Colonel Stanislav Petrov was on the phone to Moscow trying to prevent a computer glitch from turning into World War III in the early morning hours of September 26th, 1983. These could have been the last opening credits those millions of Americans would have seen if Petrov failed.

I believe Nanette is Shelly’s aunt. Shelly used to be on the show Coach she played Craig T Nelson’s wife.
