I really felt like every point here was a swing-and-miss. So I'm gonna write out my thoughts in sections. 1. Fantasy dwarves are anatomically stocky. It would make more sense diet-wise to have more carbs to keep up with the weight. Like Sumo wrestlers, and strongmen, they would need to eat way more calories than the average person. Also because they're mostly smiths and craftsmen, it would make sense that they'd enjoy the heat of the oven as well. (Also Senshi from Delicious in Dungeon is an outlier amongst other dwarves in the series.) 2. I don't know what, "Agenda" you are seeing in those tattoos, but I'm assuming you mean some sort of homosexual conspiracy. To which my response is: You cannot tell what the hell their relationship is in this image. They could be best friends with matching tattoos. The only relationship you are seeing is what your mind has come up with. There is no threat of turning children gay here. It's not like they're having sex or anything, they aren't holding up pride flags, so what is the problem? Also, are you calling them hipsters because of the man-bun? Even though for decades we've seen dwarves with knotted hair? Or in the bandana sense, he's working with a forge, it's to keep the damn sweat and hair out of his eyes. 3. Wizards of the Coast is making a new change when it comes to the whole "Species" thing, and it's good! Race and species are not the same thing whatsoever. You can't tell me that we shouldn't give dwarves resemblance to human evolutionary traits due to immersion-breaks when we literally have humans co-existing in the same realm! It would make sense to have dwarves have different features and skin colors. Otherwise you are adhering to the stereotypes and saying that every dwarf lives underground and so-on. Ignoring that for co-existence dwarves would want to move into human settlements in hopes of trade and peace. They're not supposed to feel otherworldly when they live in the same worlds! Overall the artwork in the D&D books isn't always accurate. In fact older books only talked about tieflings being red-skinned and the artwork featured purple-skinned tieflings. The art is only meant to give you a general idea as to what the races look like. You, or the DM, decide what they look like to yourself. In this video, as much as you tried to hide it, I think most of all you showed that you are a homophobe and a racist(Or at least unknowledgeable on race). And look, I understand that you may not agree with homosexualism, I don't either, but we have to be kind and show indifference regardless. There was no reason for you to freak out over matching tattoos and automatically assume WotC is trying to turn children gay. As for the races thing, why did you even care to point that out? I wouldn't have even noticed had you not said something about it. Would you prefer them to be all-white? What about all the colored people in the world that may enjoy the idea of a colored dwarf? It sounds to me like you may want to do some self-reflection and realize the faults in your logic.

1/ Fair enough. Eat all the carbohydrates you want. That was a joke. 2/ I don't know what agenda is there either. I imagine it involves some sort of company policy from Hasbro to increase sales. 3/ I don't mind changing the name of "race". My personal preference is "lineage" or "ancestry" though. Species sounds too clinical. This is just my opinion though. 4 (unnumbered)/ Yes, as I have said, each table can decide for themselves about these issues. I am neither a homophobe nor a racist. Please try not to resort to name-calling and baseless accusations against other people. I live and work in a diverse environment. I help people with diverse backgrounds every day. Members of my family, whom I love, come from diverse backgrounds. People at the tables I play at come from diverse backgrounds. Also, I have lived in several countries which are not Western and do not speak English as their first language. You don't know anything about me so, please don't assume you do.

    1. 🤣🤣But the stockier you are, the less you want to be fat because of that exact issue, you overheat. If dwarves are stocky, they won't like heat and fat dwarves even less so.
