Yeah, and in the one where Maude dies, Moe mentions that Ned is afraid of drinking. Wasn't he in the Hell's Satans? "It's an older season" is no excuse. They are both in Season 11. This is Season 10.

I always thought Homer just randomly got up to tell Ned not to spill his beer, but Ned is actually spilling Homer's beer.

Homer just loses all of Ned's money and he's just like "oh well".

As a gambler, I've lost my money like that before many a times. I'm talking about turning $500 into $5k at the craps table then all of a sudden, losing it in less than 20 minutes thereafter and not really caring AND being able to sleep that night. Or betting $3k on a craps roll and losing 2 minutes later. Strangely, you get used to it. Sorta like a doctor telling a family that their loved one has "x" days left to live then going into the next room and laughing it up with fellow hospital staff members about a joke. I believe the correct term for this phenomenon is becoming "desensitized" or "building up tolerance" to the situation.

We had a dozen bibles, a bottle of holy water, two bags of miniature crucifixes, a Jesus statue - a whole galaxy of multicoloured pamphlets and bumper plate stickers, a sheet of high-powered biblical quotes and a white wine spritzer. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious Christian paraphernalia collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I've been to Vegas on several occasions and have played roulette many times. Holy numbers never worked for me.

I've actually memorized the sequence of the European roulette [0-32-15-19-etc]. You don't need to memorize colors. All odd numbers are red, whereas all even numbers are black. 14 is 1+4=5 , 5 is odd so is red. 29 is 2+9=11 and 11= 1+1 = 2, two is even so 29 is black

On the roulette he bets on red , then it comes up 14 black .. but 14 is red in roulette lol

Fun fact: 14 is actually red on the roulette wheel.

The joke is that Ned only knows him from Full house.

The funny thing is in one of the early seasons, Ned had a kegerator/bar setup in his basement. This was when Ned was more so setup as the neighbor homer hates because of envy vs the super Christian he is today.

And that’s how you keep your head safe.

1:09 He's opening the safe with his right hand. In reality, this is the hand used for throttle control when riding a motorcycle. This is even seen at 1:06 when he revs up the bike's engine.
