That is called blower surge! sounds fine to me!

Digging around youtube and find one fine T-Bucket. And to top it off, your lighting up Lemay Ferry and South County! Spent a lot of time there. Good to see a nice ride going down those streets. Thanks!

very nice, i have a 23 ford t myself, its not quite as nice as this one but its alot of fun, and there awsome to cruse in, and you dont need alot of money to have one, im 22 and in the military and i had no problem building one. it took a few years but its worth it.

Hello friend i´m installing an 8v71 supercharger over a Victor Ram series intake manifold as you did in your nice T-bucket for my 454 chevy truck, I have a question, the supercharger oil chambers (where the gears are located) are sealed oil filled or did you install pipes from the oil pump and to the pan?

Great looking car. What engine? Is that a 396, 427? Looks larger than a 350. Overdriven? Underdriven? What kind of horsepower? I've got one too and I love it!

basically a street legal rail dragster...never saw a blower on top of the stacks...usually blower on the block,then the stacks then the carbs then the scoop....cool

I just noticed that thing has a round-tube chassis. Who built that? I love this car!

The "Detroit Roll" as blower surge is often refrenced is due to the lean/ rich signal the carbs are subjected to at idle. with the lean condition, the rpm comes up, after a while because of the blower, it richens up and goes back down. It can be tuned out to some degree but many leave it for show.

slightly overdriven and a touch rich in the fuel mixture at idle. sounds great though.

It got to the point that I dreaded driving mine. Everytime you stopped for gas or whatever you were surrounded by people with dumb questions. It's amazing how people will try to use your car to get them attention. There was one use the car had besides making you feel like 16 again. If you wanted to see the type of people that lived in a neighborhood, before you bought a house there, just drive it through and the circus begins.

@Draxindustries1 Trolling or genuinely ignorant? It's a supercharged big block (no idea why the blower is sitting on top of a tunnel ram). Pretty much all 4 cylinders would need a turbo just to make the same horsepower that big block does stock, and they still don't have the torque. And forget about a supercharged big block. You'd be looking at 25 psi+ in a 4 banger to make the same power a mild big block with a blower puts out.

he probably has a antique tag, you can drive like that only to car shows and stuff like that on them vehicles

DarthWeede wow that is harsh. These cars are common in the US. Most hot rods are not as extreme as this and look more like their original shape, people can tell what they were. Cops here usually don’t care as the guys driving their hot rods don’t call a lot of attention to them selves. I have three cars with Antique Vehicle plates. The vehicles use is slightly restricted but they are exempted from vehicle inspection. Most hot rods , if driven responsibly, don’t get harassed on US streets. Also, remember, most hot rods are driven by older people. To bad about Germany!!!
