I feel as if this is what Stone intended to happen. Like what was previously stated, he knew everything that was ever going to happen. If nobody ever stopped Airy, more people would have become subject to his gameshow for the following years, ruining their lives back on Earth in the process. Stone saw Liam as the one to be able to stop the cycle, and basically doomed him to take his place. As you mentioned, Airy could easily flip through the radio channels until he fines the same world again, but Liam would be there this time to guard it and keep him in check. Meanwhile, Liam has all the time in the world to figure out how to free his fellow competitors. Sure he's still stuck where he is, but he acts as the ultimate sacrifice to keep others from being put through what he had to endure ever again.

or maybe he didn't get enough time to write more things down, which was my initial theory, but to add this theory to mine, maybe since he knew he didn't have enough time left, he had to resort to making everyone sacrifice themselves

"the waiting room" supposedly shows what the person cared about the most, e.g. Bryce seeing the suburbs. Liam doesn't seem to have anything close to him, thus it's blank. twoards the end, Airy sees the plane, the thing he cared about the most, was the very thing that killed him.

i have a theory i think what the waiting room shows is also trying to make the person follow it, which is life's way of leading the person to their afterlife. those who choose to stay at the radio can change universes for a second chance at life and/or continue their life

I feel like the episode was such a bitter end. But that’s the vibe ONE gave off this whole time. Airy is gone, at least in the sense where he’s no longer at a place where he can control ONE, so no more seasons, but Liam is trapped by himself now, Texty is gone, Bryce, Amelia, and Charlotte are stuck. Part of me feels Stone knew this was everyone’s fate but that was the only way they would stop Airy. I will say the reason Liam freaked out was because he saw the Season 3 contestants. Tomatoes mom, Bryce’s coworker, Charlotte’s friend Parker, and of course Liam’s friend Owen. Meaning that even though Airy knew what he put these guys through, he had no plan on stopping anytime soon. This was an amazing reaction and I can’t wait to see your other reactions! ONE was a hidden gem in object shows but there are a few I feel like you’d enjoy.

BTW at the beginning when backpack was looking at those pictures on the computer, those were for the third season that airy was planning to begin on after he let the season 2 contestants go. The pictures he looked at with laptop where the season 1 and season 2 contestants.

I expected an ending like this for one cus it's a pretty serious show so expecting it to not have a happy ending was kind of inevitable

ONE might have to ONEder about what happens after this ONEderfully crafted ending (laugh now)

yea. people say that the ending tells us what happens already, that liam is stuck and that the contestanrs cant leave. but there are many possibilities like you said. airy might have a command list and liam can follow it and somehow find a command to send himself back just like how airy had a command to kill each contestant listed on the website texty somehow transferred to airy's pc or maybe liam doesn't escape and only is able to free the contestants or maybe liam and the contestants can never escape or maybe, liam becomes the new airy by being an idiot yea

So much buildup for Backpack to start gaming in a cave it’s just so cool

airy didn’t get sent to the plane, he died again leading him back to the waiting room with the radio to flip through. And the waiting room will present itself as whatever the person who died cared about the most in life, and if they didn’t have a fulfilling life, it will be empty with orange colors and two armchairs. As we know Liam got back to earth on episode 9 and after he got back he had nothing going for him in life anymore, he was presumed dead and his job, money, friends were all lost. Making the waiting room for him, and empty span of colors, but nothing to care about truly. When airy died for the first time, the room was nothing to him. His life was an empty depressing one, he was a truck driver and he had nothing going for him, no hobbies, no real skills. And then when he died a second time after he had created the plane himself, the waiting room showed the plane. Meaning airy was mentally broken, being isolated both in the real world and in the waiting room world. He was depressed and after he had killed so many people on the plane, he never knew he was doing anything wrong. He couldn’t understand what horrible things he really had done. So when he died and made the plane, it was the first and only thing he had ever actually enjoyed. Being alone for a decade, this was the only “fun” he had known, killing people and trapping them on an empty planet, forcing them to compete for a prize that they wouldn’t even receive… so yeah that’s an in-depth meaning between the two worlds and why airy is a psychopath.

Dude.. I can't believe ONE ended like that.. Personally me.. I don't like the ending, THE EPISODE IS AMAZING but I just do NOT like the choices backpack makes. I know airy was messed up and twisted but If anything I would just take him back to earth cause he would have to die and figure out the numbers again and the chances of that are slim. I suggest to watch "The Nightly Manor" its another object show but. not really as ONE lore-ish.. Type show but still pretty good.

There's a new ONE miniseries noww!!!!1!1!!!

The ending has so many unfinished plots that it feels like there's a secret episode 19 but I don't think that's going to happen. It just seems unlikely.

I know people who LOVED this episode, but personally...Nah fam, I wasn't into this at all. I just don't like how the episode ignores basically all the characters except for Airy and Liam. Like, Bryce and Texty used to be 2 of the main characters but the finale treats them like side characters. Charlotte, Amelia, Stone, Abstracty, so many interesting fun characters that were all reduced to...Nothing. If someone loves the episode, that'd rad, more power to you, as someone who's been following the show since before ONE 5 came out...Nah man, I didn't like it personally.

I feel like you should watch more object shows But I mean I don’t think it will be the same experience as ONE. The closest thing to ONE as an object show is RTTMOT but it still has a way different feel and it only has 3 episodes
