Ha! Here you are with a $12,000 figure and you’re just ripping it’s head off like it’s nothing lol I can’t believe people are asking that much? Is anyone paying it? I’m kinda proud of you dude this video is a good example of a true collector, I get agro all the time from friends saying I should leave figures in the box blah blah but they are made to be enjoyed and messed around with, good on you sir

If the price is that high, it's pretty safe to assume someone's paid about that much already. Speaking from a collector's standpoint too, whoever did deserves some praise for their passion. If they opened it too, even more so! I'm with you, I don't see "action figure" as being equivalent to "stare at in box".

A quick glance at Ebay shows it's $800-1000. And man, I'd sell that in a heart beat. You can buy lots of other batman figs for a grand.

Yeah, but none of those other Batman figs would be this one. Unless you sold it for that much and then bought it again for that much, but that's just a weird way of doing it.

Thanks man. Yeah, I have a weird tick when I see something shoot up in price. Like I said in the video, it makes me hesitate but really, I could never sell my toys. It's why I still have Filmation He-Man and some ThunderCats still in the box, along with losing interest as I was getting them. But someday I'll feel that MOTUC urge, or someone will (hopefully) finish that TCats set and I'll be ramped up and ready to open them then, and I won't be all "Shit, I shouldn't have sold those, I want them bad now."

Pandapeep I just bought the black with gold for under $200. The only differences are the belt color (it's removable) and the accessory colors (black and gold). Makes no sense to pay $800 for a black belt and black accessories.

Legend has it, Robo unwittingly killed 23 mint in box collectors with that intro.

Loved the intro haha!! I did the same thing with mezco nightmare batman and I look at all my punishes and think "I could buy car parts if I sold these" but then I'd be sad they were gone. The cape wire monstrosity is such a bad idea, I can't stand them. I'd enjoy seeing you go through the one 12 catalogue

That intro is just another reason on my list, to why I love this channel.

I thought it was the hype/rareness of this that was making me want it so bad, but nope. It looks like a SOLID figure that delivers on the hype. Awesome review. Those cape things at the end had me dying. 😄

Haha, yeah, I could never finish a Rubiks Cube either. I'm just not made that way. But yeah, this figure really surprised me, and as much as I love it, I'm looking forward to the standard even more. I'm a contrast kinda guy and the grey looks awesome.

Both Mezco Toyz's original suit redesign and the Ascending Knight version look very sick!

Great figure Robo! Seeing what's inside of that book would be cool. Although I'm not to familiar with Mezco and their products this one sure does look nice. Love the Black on Black look! Like always keep up the great work.

According to Mezco the Bat Brick is supposed to be a heavy duty Batarang. I don't know what or where they came up with it because it's dumb and could easily have been replaced with a different accessory. But hell he's a great looking Batman!

I want it but not thousands of dollars want it. My God!!

I think I'm gravitating towards that PX Deathstroke, reminds me of the old cartoon Teen Titans Slade. Plus I seem to have this black costume theme going...

I seriously can’t believe how much it was going for on eBay and now one year later I just picked up this figure for under 200 bucks :D

I loved the intro. It was both funny and kinda philosophical in a way: you only live once and you wanted to open that damn box and just enjoy the figure and nothing was gonna stop you xD. The figure is really striking, Mezco is indeed probably the only western company that can compete with imports imo. A lot of their releases feel kinda samey to me (because of using the same body multiple times) but this Batman is something else. I hope they continue to release DC characters outside of Batman's lore...though a Red Hood would probably turn out amazing.

Even if you open that, the piece is going to be crazy-high price wise, the SHF SDCC exclusives prove my point, those things can be opened that they are CRAZY EXPENSIVE

the bat brick is basically the bat paddle. its used to subdue cat woman poison ivy and harley quinn.

Some things just have to be done. Totally worth it.

First thought that this all black design was a cheap way to get another variant out, but looking at it I like thinking of it like the comic version of the Batman Begins suit. This works even better with the first appearance ears and generally younger Batman motif And I would like to see that catalog vid

As much as I didn't want to like 1:12 scale clothed figures, the Wolverine and Deadpool I have are pretty fantastic. Though I think I'll skip most of them. Keep it to the X-MEN.

The Bat Brick was originally listed as an oversized batarang. Hilariously, I guess the "brick" part is almost as literal as it sounds in terms of function.

I didn't get a Mezco Spidey. I guess because I have so many that I do like. With Batman I feel like I never got one that really tickled my fancy.

Can't go wrong with Deathstroke man. It's one of the very best Mezco One:12 up there with the Punisher and their very first TDKR figure (which had flaws but hey, damn impressive for a first figure)

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the bat brick is for?

Thank god I'm getting the grey version.

The bat brick is supposed to be used for him to slide down wires between buildings or whatever. . He holds each end (with the brick over the wire) and slides across or down.

I was thinking the same! It literally looks like Batman joined the Daredevil Netflix-verse (it even resembles the Season 2 Daredevil suit that Mezco is making), and it really sparks the idea of a toy "crossover".

Damn that’s a nice figure! Can’t afford an $80 figure or a $1000 figure but he looks amazing. I’m just trying to get a Boba Fett for a good price still.

I know how that goes. I collect mostly anime figures, and there's a character that I want that is supposedly rare that's $900-$2000 on e Bay. Nyuu/Lucy from Elfen Lead.

Such a cool batman figure! Wish Mezco would of made this version more available to us mere mortals, those marketing people know what they are doing don't they ^_^ $$$ That being said I am really looking forward to the standard grey version as it looks pretty cool with the yellow/gold bat belt. Plus in this infinite, possibly holographic universe I am glad to have experienced this black variant through your eyes Robo :D

nick ash Yeah I see the marketing technique behind this Black version, it grabbed mezco a lot of attention and in that respect it worked beautifully for them because now everyone wants a peice of mezco.. They did the same thing with classic Punisher, they knew exactly what they were doing making that guy a limited edition.. Prices skyrocketed, people started talking, public out cry for more to be made, job done Mezco! 😂 You have to appreciate the balls of that.. From a business stand point it works, Mezco are the hottest game in town atm and that has been made possible by A. Having a great product and B. Great marketing to go with it. This black version of batman is a prime example, it was made limited on purpose and given to all the figure reviewers for free. Great marketing. Gets people like me and you talking, creates a hysteria around their product 👏👏👏 well played mezco, well played 😂

I have been trying to solve the mystery of the bat brick for a while! I was hoping it was like a portable bat shaped laptop or something like that. My wife thinks it's a zip-line thing. Like you throw it over a rope and hold on to both sides and slide down. But why does he need that if he has a grappling gun? I guess he could bludgeon criminals with it but that seems sort of boring...But I guess we may never know!

I just got my first mezco which is the sovereign knight Batman and I love it I own the mafex Batman hush figure but I’d say the mezco is my Batman especially because I can have long ears

The normal release is basically the same minus it being in the more classic / Justice League animated series colors and comes with more or less the same stuff.

Those eBay prices are ridiculous. No way it's worth that much.

Please make a video on the book!! There were a few reveals at Toy Fair where they didn't show accessories for the figures like the new John Wick and Punisher, so if you could make a detailed video covering the book that would be great!

Can't watch this sadly knowing that I'll never have or be able to get this. All you are doing Mezco is making scalpers a lot of money. PRCC dark knight (the one we've all wanted) only 300, white and black punisher (again the one we all wanted) only 300 and now this.

Robo--I started with Moon Knight first, back at the end of March. This week, I just got the Clown Prince of Crime Joker (not sorry--he's my kinda Joker--not tied to any continuity, a nice clean slate for my mind and shelf). He's my sixth Mezco in not-quite 2 months. I bought the classic WW for a friend of mine in Wisconsin. I pre-ordered 2 Conans (one for me, one for a friend's birthday), KGBeast, Playing for Keeps Harley, Hellboy standard, and after watching this, I'm about to add Supreme Knight Batman. Dammit. *taps his arm, waiting for his next hit* I can't wait for Doc Nocturnal--I really want to get to Golden Axe Skeleton 2-pack for his "minions." I told myself after the house-fire years ago, that I'd never go down the road of cool fun stuff you'd hate to lose, but here I am.

Hello! I have been watching/subscribing for YEARS my friend! Listen, you MUST get a hold of a Beast Kingdom DAH-001 Batman. I would LOVE to hear your review of it. Very affordable too. Go to BBTS (Or Frank N Sons). It is an aquired taste, but the scale and overall look is good. BK is off to a good start with this scale. THanks for everything!

Yeah, it's kind of insane. And really people are paying for a different colored belt and suit, and a Toy Fair sticker. I think I'm going to like the black and grey even more than this because of the more traditional Batman look. And I REALLY like this.

Deadpool was my first and it really sold me on the line. It has it's problems but is super nice.

After seeing your review, I dig the figure overall, but I gotta be honest, I’m not really into the all black version. Just personally for me, it seems like certain details just get lost. I like the style, but there’s something just not doing it for me. Maybe once I see more color variation I’ll pull the trigger on him. Good review, as always, Robo!

Oh, totally agree, especially in video and pics. I have the luxury of seeing it in-person and in different lights and backgrounds so I'm biased. But still agree, that's why I'm even more excited for the standard version. This poseabilty and build and aesthetic with a more contrasting color scheme? I'm all over that. Thanks man!
