ओह हमें तो मालूम ही नहीं था कि इतने सुरीले गीतों की संगीतकार उषा खन्ना जी हैं.... हो सकता है उस जमाने में शंकर जयकिशन... लक्ष्मीकांत प्यारेलाल.. कल्याण जी आनंद जी.. आर डी बर्मन .. जैसे दिग्गज संगीतकार थे इसलिए उषा खन्ना जी को अच्छा संगीत देने के बाद भी पुरुष्कार नहीं मिले

Inko dada saheb faalkey award ya lifetime achievement award vgareh de kar, inhen jeetey-ji sammaanit karna chahiye. Insaan ke jaaney ke baad, sammaan deney ka koi tuq nahin. Jai shiv shanker.

A great music Director who may have not been credited with the status she deserves.,yet when you listen to the many hit songs that you loved and come to know that it is she who composed them, you cannot but stand up in admiration! Usha Khanna did just one Malayalam movie "Moodal Manju" in the sixties, all of the songs of which sung by Yesudas and Janaki were super duper hits. A big salute to this talented musician who deserves 'Legend' status!

Thank you for sharing a detailed , nice episode on Usha Khanna. Details are quite appreciating and there is marvellous fluency and sweetness in the style of narration . In fact , this type of episode on Usha Khanna was long expected . It is repeatedly regretted that Ushaji was not given Film fare Award ( though once nominated ) and she was not given the due honour which she deserves. But Ushaji ' s musical career belonged to Galaxy of many and very great music directors. Despite this , she survived and created and left unforgettable impression on the music field and that's the honor and prize for her. In addition , we the music lovers, are great judges and we made justice with her music by loving it wholeheartedly. In Ushaji's songs , there is delicious , remarkable melody. The song " Ajanbee Kaun Ho Tum........" is as fresh as morning glory . " Hum Tumse Juda Hoke ......" ( in my opinion ) is the most memorable , glorious , valuable gift for music lovers. " Sau Banakar Malikane......." was applauded by some eminent music experts in the industry. Ushaji was confident and perhaps so didn't insist on any specific lyricist. It's true that most of films under her music composition are remembered for her honey_ dipped songs. Ushaji 's music can not be appreciated in a paragraph or two. It will need pages and pages. Long live Ushaji !
