I agree with most that Mark Chao was unforgettable in the role of Ye Hua in the original drama. The movie version was a bit of a let down in comparison, but Yang Yang wasn't bad. He has potential.

The drama with Mark Chao and Yang Mi is so much better and elaborate but the fact is Yang Yang and Mark Chao both played their roles well, the chemistry, actions and reactions even Li Yufei...some of her actions really remind me of Yang Mi's Bai Qian, the facial expressions, the boss Lady way she carried herself etc

the movie & the costarring is soooo beautiful Yang Yang & Liu LiFe are so seductive and have a special air ( the screen shot and make up are really great) I find the couple here much better than the other actors in the series hope they would have an other historical romance drama together

I just watched Love 020 and I fell in love with yang yang. Liu yi fei is my chinese girl crush since 2006 (I can't wait for Mulan live action movie!!). I keep on seeing Eternal Love series on netflix and I just saw this video. I hope there is Eternal Love movie on Netflix since my 2 fave chinese actor is in 1 movie.

I can still see Yang Mi and Mark Chao as Bai Qian Qian and Ye Hua, I love both of them in Ten Miles of Peach Blossom. And I can only see Yang Yang as Hei Fengxi paired to Zhao Lusi as Bai Fengxi. Hahahaha

Watching the drama FIRST is a must to appreciate this movie... I prefer the drama and the lead characters there BUT i prefer this ending in the movie. It has always my bet that Mo Yuan and Ye Hua are one(the same person) because in the drama they are twins, it's absurd.

To be fair, the movie only has two hours for story-telling whereas the drama has hours and hours to explain the story line. In my opinion, both Mark Chao and Yang Yang were magnificent in their roles 😍

I loved the movie as well. But I agree that the drama should be watched first to understand the characters better which is harder to do in the shorter movie version. Also the movie respect the event sequence of the novel whereas the drama changed the order so we could love Yue Hua more. Hope this helps. But really the movie is great too!!

SPOILER on the first sentence 😜 So I made the grave mistake of watching the movie first and was so confused and heart broken 😢💔 at the end. Luckily I saw a comment saying there's drama of this and should watch it to fully understand the movie. It was like the first drama I watched with the longest number of episodes. I won't lie, I find Yang Yang more handsome than Mark but I loved the drama much more than the movie. I 100% recomend to watch the drama first before the movie. The movie only revolved on the 2nd part of the story. You will understand the story If you watch the drama first. You won't even notice the number of episodes. 😊😁

I had a mistake of reading the novel while watching the drama series. The drama is great but it was no longer appealing to me since I knew what's gonna happen next. It's like predicting what the casts would say. Next time, I should watch the drama first before reading the novel to keep the thrill.

Jai Jai you are really on point. Better watch the drama first before the movie, otherwise you'll get lost. N i never get tired of watching this drama no matter how many times i watch it. Such a great one. Don't get me wrong, Yang Yang has good acting skill but Ye hua or Mo Yuan is much better play by Mark Zhao
