I just realized that in this scene where Jekyll is trying to kill Belle, Rumple can't do anything because Hyde had control over him with the dagger and Hook ends up saving Belle is almost like in episode 4x11 when Rumple tried to kill Hook and Emma couldn't do anything because Rumple froze her and Belle ended up saving Hook...interesting parallel.

this is actually the most true to form portrayal of Henry Jekyll ever filmed. At McGill I got my hands on a first edition Curious Case Of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (couldn't take it out of the climate controlled back room). the "real" Jekyll was a total ass hole. He created Hyde so he could do whatever he wanted and get away with it. Anything bad would be blamed on Hyde. When the transformations started happening on their own he started doing good things. not because he actually cared but because he thought it might let Jekyll stay in control a bit longer. Every good deed he ever did was selfishly motivated by his quest to keep Jekyll and Hyde separate and when that no longer was possible, the coward killed himself. Henry Jekyll was not a good man in any way, shape, or form. all this noble crap was added later. And Hyde wasn't a vicious killer either. he only killed one man in a drunken stupor outside a bar.

Well, one good thing came of this. Jekyll and Hyde are separate now so they would go to the underworld as two people. Mary can finally be with Hyde and not worry about Jekyll.

6 episodes to me wasn't enough for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. What a twist that Dr. Jekyll was the bad guy and Mr. Hyde was the good guy!!!!!!!!!!!! So that's the reason why Mr. Hyde locked himself up when he was Dr. Jekyll in his world!!!!!!!!!!! Because he was locking up the bad guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow that's tough for Rumple to swallow, his enemy saved his wife who was going to die because of Rumple

The stupid writers made it sound like the Jekyll and Hyde story would last most of the season. I'm so disappointed! Was loving Sam Witwer as Hyde and may have kind of been starting to ship him with Regina (only male character I think she really had much chemistry with) I do like how the writers made Jekyll the typical "I'm the nice guy so please don't friendzone me" f**kboy though. Too many "good guys" who think they are entitled to a woman just because they act nice toward her. Guess what guys, women don't owe you shit! And good boy Hook, you've come along way from the guy who shot Belle in season 2. Glad he finally made up for that. RIP Hyde, you're story ended too soon :(

Well thats beacuse Mr Gold,Rumple,beast or Croc is and always will be Evil never good ,and he has in past destroyed hundred inocent lives,and Belle knows that she will never be happy with him ,i when Morpheus hates Rumple who is his father.and personliy i keep wondering when will somebody kill Rumple beacuse he is boring.

Agree on all of this so much! Regina and Robin felt so forced! With Hyde she (both EQ and Regina) actually has chemistry. And he was so much more interesting than boring Robin Hood (and it really does pain me to call RH boring because I normally love that character outside of OUAT)

Even to This Day I Absolutely Hate that Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde were killed off so Early. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are My All Time Favorite Gothic Horror Villains. These two definitely had a lot Potential. Mr. Edward Hyde was an Incredible Villain for Once Upon a Time and as Much as I Love Lana Parrilla as The Evil Queen I feel like that she was overused in These Season plus I felt like her character didn’t have anything to offer this Season as Well. Casting Sam Witwer as Mr. Edward Hyde was Incredible Casting and Mr. Hyde Defenily had a lot to offer this and Due to this Season Focusing on The Saviors and Mr. Hyde spent majority of his life Study The Saviors. I Absolutely Loved The Twist that Dr. Jekyll was actually the Villain and Hank Harris definitely did a Really Great Job Showing Jekyll’s True Colors being Cruel and Manipulative. 1:48. To 1:54. I Absolutely Love that Mr. Hyde puts Mr. Gold in his place. Because he was right Dr. Jekyll may have been the one to kill Mary but it’s Rumplestilskin Idea to use her as a Pawn in his experiment.

Beacuse only time where we saw Santa Fighting Krampus was in Christmas horror story movie,but just imagine if they whould finaly bring Guardians;ST Nicholas or North ,Eastern Bunny,Mother Nature,Sandy,Tooth Fairy,Jack Frost,Cupid and Father Time to the Show,Krampus from that movie beacuse his desiang and costume looks way better and he looks like Azog from the Hobbit trilogy , and he is way better than Krampus movie.

It's Belle's fault. She stopped him for killing Hook. A guy who tried to kill her 4 times. She is only aware about 3 of those, which is still a lot. Besides I really wished Rumple would kill Hook because the guy most than deserve it. He never changed and he was the one who blackmailed Rumple first in season 4. I loved Belle at first, but her tendency to jump to conclusions, her Hero obsession, her constant reckless actions which puts herself and Gideon in danger and her abusive behavior toward Rumple is unbearable. The very first thing she did that annoyed me, was to tell Rumple to not seek revenge against Regina after she imprisoned her for at least 28 years. Like WTF? What kind of person will be against that? And more importantly upset that someone care so much about them that they seek revenge for the pain they've suffered? Belle not feeling like taking revenge herself is one thing, but making demands out of Rumple and being upset at him for taking revenge is just abnormal, and feels just wrong to me. Truth be told Belle is both a terrible wife as well as a terrible mother. And after abandoning Gideon for no reason -because Rumple would never hurt their child, in fact he only acted out because she kept going to his worst enemies and tried to steal their son away from him because of a supposed dream version of their son with daddy issues before being old enough in her belky to have formed a brain yet- she shouldn't even be allowed to have any rights to Gideon. She has proven unfit before the child was born and definitely right after giving birth to him and sending him away. In Rumple's position I would tell all my grievances against her and take the child away from her. Maybe I would offer her to have some couple therapy with Archie in order ri fix things and eventually give her another chance to be a better mother if she proved that she learned from her mistakes and promises to never do anything alike ever again.

katie Conrad You mean when he snapped at Belle and tried to kill her? He did kill Mary after all, intentional or not. But I see what you mean. It does seem kinda out of character, for him to suddenly get so violent, but they always love to put a twist on things. But then is Hyde really evil? He didn't really do anything evil in the backstory. I don't get it.

The Reason Why Rumplestilskin helped Dr. Jekyll is because he wanted to use Jekyll’s Serum to get rid of all the good in him and he used Mary as a Pawn in his Experiment hoping That Mr. Hyde would kill Mary. But The Serum didn’t actually work as it was designed for instead of Bringing out Dr. Jekyll Dark Side it brought his Good Side. Because Mr. Hyde Really didn’t do anything Evil Those Flashbacks besides Blackmailing Dr.Lydgate to get Dr.Jekyll in The Scientific Academy. Besides that mirror small thing Mr. Hyde never did anything Horrible. Plus Mr. Hyde didn’t Steal Mary she may have cared for Dr. Jekyll as a friend but she never loved him. But she Loved Mr. Hyde and his Love was Pure. It’s not until Dr. Jekyll Killed Mary and Framed him for The Murder Getting Banished to The Land Of Untold Stories plus being forced to Live in The Same Body with The Person That killed The Woman he Loved definitely Drove him to Revenge and his Desire for Revenge Clouded his mind and made him Evil.

So basically he wants to kill Belle to get revenge on Rumple, since he blames Rumple for everything that has happened. Rumple helped him perfect the serum to transform into Hyde, which eventually led to Hyde stealing Mary's heart, which led to Jekyll killing her in a frenzy of mixed anger/surprise. So, since he lost the woman he loved, he wants to do the same to Rumple. I mean, this did take me by surprise too and seemed kind of random considering he has been so timid and weak ever since he was introduced to the series. But at the same time it did seem like his timidness was hindering him from doing anything (hence why he was acting so weird and awkward instead of just killing her right away) and he was finally forced to act when he saw that Belle was about to call for help.

An interesting twist, but it made absolutely no sense with what we had seen before. Hyde was shown to be the villain in all his episodes before this, but he doesn't do anything bad in the flashback, and there's not even a hint that Jekyll is a psycho. This came out of nowhere. Bad writing, in my opinion.
