And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hathgiven me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.-John 6:35-40 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.-John 20:29 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

You mean in some or many, man-made Reformed (deformed) Protestant denominations, groups movements organizations etc. and that includes the so-called non-denominational" churches who reject and try to deny' the fact that they are splintered break-offs form the other protestant "churches" some directly others indirectly. We Orthodox Christians and the western Roman Catholic' have never taught those things on the contrary.'

I was raised to believe that you can walk away from the Savior and go to hell, you can lose your salvation. About a year ago I had been listening to a famous ministry and believed him when he said “ what Jesus did for our Salvation, nothing is strong enough to undo the gift of Salvation. After believing him I still had an uneasiness in my spirit. I wanted to believe it more than I did. I listened to your message now and that check I had in my spirit was right. The Lord is so faithful. We must believe the Word of God before man. Thank you for loving others and sharing the Truth! The scriptures this minister used was Romans 8:38-39. We must seek the truth in Gods Word period. Think of the people who like me, want to believe they can’t lose their salvation . I appreciate you both. I appreciate you always backing up what you say and believe with the Word of God!

ONCE SAVER ALWAYS SAVED.......... Some Christian denominations believe in, “Once saved always saved”… meaning that once you have ”Accepted” Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that you can not lose your way into Heaven or your Salvation! That’s not Biblically true, “That’s mob style mentality, you See it’s just like taking out a gun from your jacket pocket and blasting your enemy away, leaving him there on the ground in a twisted bloody mess. Then going to church after doing so and praying a few Hail Mary's and some our Fathers and you do this repeatedly week after, week after week and thinking to yourself that you’re good to go “Not true my Friend”. So, if once saved always saved were true and that were the case. When we get to Heaven the devil will be there Too ! -Yes the devil. He was once saved! He even walked and talked with God in Heaven and what about the people of Sodom and Gomorrah? God would have to dig them up out of all that sulfur and give them a second chance as well. Some of them may have been saved at one point in life… or Judas he was once saved. In fact he took it to the streets for Jesus… and he was going from town to town casting out demons, laying hands on the sick and spreading the good news. Now tell me, “How much more saved can a guy get? The Holy Spirit was in him as well to be able to do all those things for God, yet in the end he sold Jesus out for some chump change. Sad but true. Jesus said “It would have been better for the man who betrays Me to have never been born” Ouch”!!!... But Judas was saved at one point, is he in Heaven? No! …. We have to first accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Then pick up our cross and follow him, Reading the Bible and doing what it says daily and getting SIN out of our life's. As a pastor , with many people I talk to, who " say" they are Christians and yet they are having sex outside of marriage and watching movies with sex scenes in them or even pornography and lying and stealing and living.... a lifestyle just like Judas did! Week, after week, after week!! And then think that they are going to die someday and slide right into Heaven. ON THE DAY of Gods judgement, Just like at a baseball game and hear God say to them you’re safe! ....Wrong, but the words you’re going to hear are you’re out! OUT of HERE and off to HELL, think about that! So before you go on believing in JESUS... just to tell people, that you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior…but you’re running a muck in your life is not going to cut it on the day of GOD’S Judgement ! Look these scriptures up for yourself and see. Yes the truth will set you free from sin and to walk right with God before judgement day. So be blessed as you change your lifestyle for the Lord. Wow!!!… your NAME can be lost out of the book of LIFE. Wow..! yes it can.. 2nd. peter 2: 20 to 21 Matthew 5: 19 to 20 Revelation 3: 5 James 5 : 19 to 20 2nd peter 2: 4 to 6 ....READ IT FOR YOUR SELF.....

Excellent! My church started down the path of "once saved " using John 10:28 as their primary verse. I went to the Lord about this and asked Him to show me where this stance is wrong and Holy Spirit responded, "the argument is in the verb." Your teaching touched on the true meaning of the verb "pluck." Very well done, thank you.

Yes, and the book of Revelation is filled with warnings to the church. Warning people of a danger that does not exist is called a bluff. God does not bluff. It is intellectually dishonest to suggest that these warnings are not to be taken seriously by Christians. Paul and all of the writers of the N.T. had hundreds of opportunities to tell Christians that once they accepted Christ as their Savior, their free will would be removed and they had nothing to worry about.............they could not go to Hell and sin was no longer a concern or a problem......yet we never see this.

Guys listen up. These people are doing an incredible service for the saved and unsaved. He had an encounter with God. It will never leave him which I believe he is so passionate and wants everyone to stay out of hell. Besides it was designed for Satan and his demons. We are given so many opportunities to accept Jesus. If you haven’t pick up the phone now and call a church prayer line. They will walk you through it. I say right now because we don’t know our future. You could go home tonight lay your head on your pillow and breathe out your last breath. That would be it my friend. Listen to these folks. @@vndrhmm let's also remember the verses where Jesus rejects people who are IN Him aka spits them out described in Revelation as well as your name can be blotted out of the book of life. If your once saved always saved then why can Jesus remove people from Him and your name blotted out. Those who are saved have their name written in the book of life yet it can be erased. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" Hebrews 2:1-3 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him" This last one should do, it's a pretty big deal. We can give up the free gift of eternal life. Hebrews 6:4-6 "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

Thank you very much Annette and Bill for sharing your testimony with us, I always believed that if we continue to live in sin we can loose our salvation, so many verses that supports this, but I also believe that God will do many things to bring us back to obedience and we will suffer his discipline... it´s better not to expose ourselves and not take the risk of loosing it. I always think about Ananias and Saphira in Acts 5, they didn't even had a chance to overthink what they did and repent, only that passage should make us be very careful in how we walk with the Lord. Thank you again to both of you, we can feel the concern and love you have for people, thank you so much for obeying God, your testimony and bible studies have been a very big blessing and light in the darkness.

To me the crux of this issue is repentance and what that actually means. If salvation is by grace, then that means you can't earn it. But if you can lose your salvation if you stumble with repentance, then what happened to salvation by grace? It still amounts to salvation by works (salvation gets your foot through the door, but the door can ultimately end up being slammed shut in your face). It would still boil down to, you weren't deemed "good" enough to make it to heaven (but I thought that was the very reason that Jesus died on the cross in the first place). Another problem (implicit in the preceding paragraph) has to do with simple logic: If a person is saved and receives the gift of eternal life, something that God promises and He can't lie, then if a Christian can lose their salvation, then that logically means that the gift of eternal life (promised by God Himself) was not eternal after all for that person. But eternal life means eternal life. Logically, how can it be eternal life if it can end before a Christian even dies? No matter WHEN it ends (even a trillion years from now), if it ends, then it's not eternal. And when does this gift of eternal life start? Isn't it supposed to start the instant a person gets saved (when that person instantly becomes a new creation in Christ)? If it starts the instant a person gets saved and it's eternal, then how can it end (for ANY reason) and still be eternal? If a Christian CAN'T lose their salvation (no matter what), then that would make Christ's dying on the cross for our sins sufficient without our still having to earn it via repentance. God can still exact a cost on a Christian who didn't live the way He wanted without resorting to taking away that person's salvation. And the argument about a Christian's eternal salvation is secure as long as they don't live a ''sinful lifestyle" is subjective (up to a point). One Christian might honestly think they're not living a sinful lifestyle while another Christian might find that lifestyle sinful (for example, one Christian might think it's okay to listen to secular music and watch secular movies, while another Christian might think those things are sinful). Another example is that some Christians do sometimes use profanity, while others never do. Are the ones that sometimes swear going to hell? Some Christians work on Sundays, some don't. Are the ones who work on Sundays going to hell? These examples can be endless. Ultimately, the only way a Christian can know beyond all doubt that they're not living a "sinful lifestyle" is to be as sinless as Jesus Himself (good luck with that). Another (practical) problem with the possibility of a Christian losing their salvation is that, it makes it harder to witness to people if you, yourself, harbor doubt about your own salvation, especially if you struggle with one or more besetting sins (something that's probably applicable to millions of Christians). Plus, it can make you feel intellectually dishonest witnessing to people telling them about the gift of eternal life, thinking in the back of your mind that, when all is said and done, they might still end up in hell despite getting saved (and you, yourself, might even end up there with them). Again, it all hinges on that word repentance. It could just mean changing your mind from being an unbeliever to being someone who makes the decision to believe in Jesus and trust Him for their personal salvation (and once you have eternal life, you can't lose it, no matter what, otherwise it wasn't eternal). But if repentance really means something that you have to DO (and endure until your death), then it ends of being salvation by works in the long run (after your foot is allowed in the door, you have to work to get all the way through). Even if it means both, it still ends up being salvation by works from a practical standpoint (and some Christians are going to be more able to do it than other Christians). Despite what I'm saying here, I'm not arguing in favor of once saved, always saved. I'm just making it clear that there are problems, no matter which side of the fence you're on. Personally, I don't know which side of this debate is biblically correct, since scriptures can be found that seem to support both views. Even if you do believe in once saved, always saved, that should inspire you to live an exemplary life in gratitude to Christ for His gift of eternal life.

And if I do not repent again and stop masturbating and looking at porn and staying lazy all day and not learning for my exam I will end up in Hell. And yelling at my parents. And not working hard at my job. And gossiping. And blaming others because of my sins, and mistakes and faults. If you are a Christian and don't pray to Mary, saints and angels. Staying in the sin is problematic. Remember the story in Corinthians of the story of the affair? (1 Corinthians 5:1) Paul instructs them throughout the rest of the chapter not to keep company with this person and lists other sins that people may do that we don't hang around them and in verse 13 are told to put away from among yourselves that wicked person. But in 2 Corinthians 7 Paul instructs them to forgive him. So, staying in the sin is problematic. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: but as the chapter continues we are instructed to keep his commandments. so study the word, stay in constant prayer, forgive, ask for forgiveness, ask for increase of faith, love towards God and others, increase of wisdom, ask to be put in the Father's will for our lives. Be a doer of the word and not just a hearer.

I’d like to make one final point; Judas was one of the twelve who were sent out to save souls and heal the sick. If Judas was never Saved, he would not have been anointed and given the power by the Holy Spirit to heal. Judas lost his Salvation. Amen! Our eternal security is conditional. The story of Rahab points this out vividly. She had to agree to not go out into the streets of Jericho on invasion day. She had to remain in the house. Neither could she betray the Israelite spies. In order for them to keep their side of the agreement to rescue her , she had keep her side of the agreement. She did and they rescued her on invasion day. They made it very clear that if she didn't keep her terms of the agreement, they were not obligated to keep theirs.
