I bid for a box lot of 12 mixed brand Bridge cameras from Buyee for equivalent of USD250 including postage. Found a pristine condition Leica V-Lux3 (Lumix FZxxx) in the mix, covered the entire cost of the box and then some. Great video. Love your unboxing because I learn so much.

Most recent flip was an Olympus OM-1 with the 50 1.8 that i got for $25 that came bundled with a minty Vivitar 28 2.8 and 2 tamron telephoto lenses.. sold the vivitar for $50, one of the telephotos for $15 and the Olympus for $150. Most recent purchase was a lot of Minolta Cameras consisting of the X300, X500 and X700 that came with 2x 45mm F2 lenses and a short telephoto Vivitar. Gave $100 for the whole lot and everything is in good cosmetic condition and working perfectly. Have not sold those yet. Beyond that i have made many great buys.. sometimes i purchase lots and keep a lens or 2 for myself and resell the rest for minimal to no profit... a nice way to build a collection.

Some of these cameras bring back memories. I'm going to use the European terms for the Rebel series. I'm Norwegian. The first DSLR I owned, about 300 years ago, was a 400D (all I talk about is Canon). Not that Canon is better than Nikon Olympus or anything else. I have also shot with Phase One and other medium format, never owned one. Back to the story about the 400D. At the time I worked in a shop selling cell phones, and some cameras. So I picked up a 400D. I just had on "Auto", had no clue what I was doing. One nigth I saw a fox outside, it was pitch black, but it was under a 60 W ligth bulb. I pointed my 400D on auto and pushed the button. The result, of course, a big orange BLOB! :) That fox is the only reason I decided to learn photography. And later became a profesional portrait-/car photographer and a photo and editing teacher for many years, many years after the fox. But all it took was darknes, a 60W ligth bulb and a fox. :)

I have the canon EOS 300 and the Rebel T1i, it's so cool to see them both in the same video! They both belonged to my dad and he gave them to me when I got into photography

Not announcing your cost on these items is totally your choice. It's still neat and a lot of fun watching the old cameras come to light, your insights into them and your thoughts on their worth in 2024, and what you value them at.. And I hope you make a good profit on them. That D750 turned out to be a real gem! If it was me I don't know if I could let it go! lol. Entertaining video nicely done.

That 50mm Canon is still doing its job. I have for my sony the 50mm SAM f1.8. Same like the Canon lens, its noisy and hunts a lot. Especially in low light situations. 29:58

You seem to go thru my camera history on almost every video... This time EOS300, first SLR I had back in early 2000. It was last film camera I have owned.

I think that EOS 300 film camera came out nearer to the year 2000, as I remember having one briefly before trading it in for the better EOS 30 film body. Loved that camera until I broke the film door on it, so then went digital - still Canon. I now have a 5D mk 4 plus a EOS 3 film body which is just beautiful

I do too. I actually cut out the internal compartment divider, and now use it to store my Sony 200-600mm lens!

@@pricklypearcamera Just be careful about numerous defects with the D750, their have been at least 3 service advisory from Nikon, back into the heyday, since 2014 afaik. Otherwise, great catch.

I have a ton of point shoot cameras and over half of them are missing the battery charger. I was wondering if you recomend selling them with or without a chrger. I do test all of them with a universal charger and they all do work. I have gotten over my head with cameras from point & shoot digital and film, SLR, DSLR and all kind of film cameras. I need to get rid of them.

I do both with and without chargers every day in my listings. I've found that a charger can more than cover the price spent for it, if it's a camera with around $60-75+ in value. But if you don't have 'em, I'd say it's not a huge deal...

The worst trouble I've had is sellers spraying the items with a strong perfume like Febreze - the scent will give me a headache. especially if it's camera or accessory that goes near my face for taking an image.

I would actually prefer you mention prices, even though I find your valuing and expected profit a bit on the high side. A lot of the cameras you show in your videos I find a lot cheaper and in more or less pristine condition on second hand webs here in Norway (and also on ebay), but maybe the markets differ in demand and availability etc.

Thanks for the feedback! Sounds like you might have some great options there in Norway. I'm up to 22,000 cameras/lenses/camcorders sold in the last 7 years, and have a spreadsheet of data that shows sold history, and there is certainly variability from month to month, and even more year to year, but I do try to be as accurate as possible.

$525 for that awesome D750? I will buy it from you today

Not getting into the profit felt a bit more laid back-perhaps overall shifting the focus slightly more towards/into the realm of bliss (nerd) entertainment. I really enjoy both approaches, though.

Sorry, but your praising of Canon's backward compatibility rings a little hollow, when you remember that - when they changed to autofocus - they rendered every body and lens they'd ever made obsolete overnight.
