These trains are very nice although I have never been on one to properly judge. The interior seems to mimic the old class 465 interior especially with the blue handrails. They also look quite similar in appearance to the proposed class 371 networker which was never built due to the recession in the 90s. The 371 was designed for this route as part of the Thameslink 2000 upgrade. Coincidence or not? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Classes_371,_381_and_471. Thanks for uploading!

Formed of 12 coaches, in USA the LIRR and MNR have 12 cars too, with longer railcar length.

Put side by side, these 12-car Class 700s are almost as long as a 10-car passenger train in the US. Some express trains in Tokyo are also 12 cars long and exactly the same length as these 700s.

Oh wait, it changed from overhead wire to third rail? It makes that annoying alarm-like noise at low speeds when its running on the 3rd rail but not when it's running on the AC overhead wire.

modern trains have such utilitarian , dull and soulless interiors , give me a mK3 any day

The 377s are going to Southern and Southeastern and the 387s to Great Northern and Gatwick Express.

TimaAmelins iOS Is ThamesLink/'s Mainline route, their metro services go to Sutton via Wimbledon and Mitchum and usually terminate at Luton stopping at all local stops en route. Class 700's are in an earlier phase being rolled out on the Metro routes.
