Why do the announcers always say 6 time world champion ? Serious question,im trying to catch up on it all .i assume its only 6 top chamspionships and others were while coming up moto 2 and 3 … yet I don’t know for sure ,because with other champions i believe they only mention premier league championships (usually ) and add in also won so many in moto2 and so many in moto3 etc etc….is there protocol for using combined championship wins vs premier wins as far as career is concerned.?

@@indrathemaggot In 2021 Bastianini got 2 podiums on a GP19. In 2022 he won 4 races and got 6 podiums on a GP21. I think Marc will be just fine on a GP23. The new young guns (Pecco, Jorge, Bez, Beast, Marini and even Digi) haven't raced a fully fit Marquez on a good bike. They may be in for a rude awakening.

Look at the lap times from Valencia Q2. Marc was just two tenths slower on a bike he (officially) has only ridden for one day, as compared to the Honda he rode all season. GO MARC GO!

This has got to be one of the best can't wait for seasons in a while. Can he adapt quickly and be fast on the Ducati, can Yamaha get their act together, can KTM and Aprilia make the step forward they need and will Marini regret his move or really help to turn the honda around. Not forgetting of course more battles from Bagnaia, Martin, Bezzecchi and an uninjured Bastianini.

Don't put all the track new records on the riders only. There are always tyre, track surface, chassis technology (ie KMT carbon frame) and engine management (mapping) improvements happening. There is a good chance that most of the track record improvements come from the entire improvements to bikes, tracks rather than the riders.

It's still first test, still a long way to go, he still on the P4 overall, getting beat by Bez, Binder, and Vinales. Also, he just enjoying the ride and pushing a little bit, no need to worry about the bike because, he's already on the tested GP23. Which is....Pecco's bike.

Most of the time he would be close to the top giving an 80% effort and then on 1-3 laps he would go absolutely 110% and absolutely nail every Q2 entry and a ton of pole positions. When he is comfortable with a great bike he can play a lot of mind games on other riders too by not always showing his full potential before a race.

@@epicon6 he's not what he used to be, the skill is there no doubt, but you know he's at his 30 right? Also, his body also isn't like it used to be after, quite a horrific crash from Jerez, dirt bike, Mandalika last year, and Portimao this year, just like I said, it still pre test, there is still a long way to go. If he managed to get 5 podiums on his first 5 races, then, there's no doubt he would Snatch the champion easily.

It might actually suit him on the Ducati ridin a little more mature and patient.

What do you say that the Yamaha is not a bad bike? You don't know the history of the GP 500, from 1993 - 2003 Honda had the most wins, in 1997 all series were won by Honda Dohan with 12 wins, Criville 2 wins, Okada 1 win, in 1998 Yamaha only had 1 win in one season with Yamaha rider at that time was Simon Crafar, in 1999 Honda still dominated by winning the title with Criville, in 2000, Suzuki became champion with Kenny Roberts Jr., in 2000 - 2003 Honda still dominated with the most wins by rider Valentino Rossi with 33 wins in 4 years at Honda,

If we check the previous years Marquez was the most productive rider at the test sessions. If he ride a without doubt very fast bike and also try to fit this bike on him i am sure that we will see fantastic races next year! Also i noticed that Mark didn't fall yet. He's going to be in the reckoning throughout the season. First time out, very competitive, rode well inside himself and he looked very comfortable on it. Luca Marini looked too big on the Honda, did well considering the twitchy nature of the bike compared with his Ducati.
