I saw ankalaev going into a rampage on twitter against everyone in the top 5 and I got to say it looks pretty good, I like how he roasted hill, he needs to do more of that to promote himself he should be doing a video reacting as well. He should also do an interview with espn mma or on the mma hour this week to attach his name to alex especially after this spectacular performance against jiri. Attaching your name to a big star right after a viral event is a secret technique not many fighters knows how to use to keep promoting themselves without even needing to perform in the octagon.

Whoevers in charge of giving bonuses sucks. They also didn't give Poatan a bonus for his ko at ufc 300. The Max and Alex ko's were far and away the best highlights from ufc 300, and yet they stiffed Alex out of his well deserved 300k. Im getting a vibe from Dana that doesn't appreciate Alex all that much, he's kind of giving him the gsp treatment.

Its very very likely that Alex vs jones with real promotion by the ufc does better than conor vs Hachiko and by a lot. Maybe people forgot but Masvidal vs usman actually did better ppv buys than mcgregor vs cowboy or equal ppv buys in the same year so it's not unprecedented that a fighter in the ufc did better than conor in ppv, and Jon jones is a huge star and conor is inactive. Masvidal just had momentum with 3 spectacular wins streak and was very active and conor was out of the ufc for a long time, and so the fight did big numbers. And if the ufc can convince the entire combat world fans that alex vs jones is a historic event that nobody should miss out on similar to how boxing manage to convince casuals and hardorce fans with the fury vs usyk fight which did 1.4 million ppv even tho neither one of usyk or fury ever were big ppv stars on their own but the historic significance of usyk vs fury the first undisputed title unification at heavyweight in over 20 years attracted so much fans and casuals that wanted to be part of that event and witnessed history and it did monster ppv. The ppv star in that boxing fight was the history behind that fight not usyk or fury. Just need to convince the fans they will be part of something very special with rare historic significance if alex wins and it won't be hard to convince them that its possible with his poltergeist level of punching power anything can happen. Personally I believe poatan vs Jon jones with the right promotion by the ufc is the only fight that can come close to 2 million, yeah I got that far. Without promotion it will still do at least 1.3 in my opinion possibly a little more. And maybe am wrong, but I don't think I am.

All these champ-champ fights and going up weightclasses stuff needs to stop. It's gotten ridiculous. Alex has only defended his belt twice. He hasn't earned a champ-champ fight. And especially not one in a division like HW that's already a shitshow. Now you want to introduce Alex into the mix? While Blaydes or Aspinall have an interim belt. Come on. Be serious. Just give Alex to Ankalaev. That's the fight. You can't complain about guys not getting titleshots when they deserve it, divisions in chaos, and a lack of stars when you don't give guys title fights that deserve them. No, Ankalaev isn't a star right now, but him having a potentially impressive fight against Alex is HOW he potentially becomes a star. Give him the fight and keep the division moving. And the Jon Jones thing is absurd. Yes, there's a chance that Stipe pulls out of the fight, but why would Alex take that fight? He walks around at 225-230, right? Jon probably walks around at 270 at this point with his fat ass. And it's a stylistic nightmare with Jon's wresting. There's no chance in hell I'm ever fighting HW Jon Jones if I'm Alex Pereira. Alex can cement his legacy by taking down every challenger that comes up to him at 205 between now and the end of next year (Ankalaev, Rountree, DDP moving up, etc.). He doesn't need to move up to HW and he doesn't have the skills/body to do it either if Jon Jones, Aspinall, or Blaydes are the ones waiting for him that are just going to grapplefuck him to death.
