In case you haven't noticed Nicola has lost a significant amount of weight. No way would the directors require this of her, she did it on her own. With her weight loss, I believe that will give them more options for her. That and the fact that the Bridgerton family color is blue.

Eeeee so excited! Penelope is such a complex character, I can’t wait to see her take center stage and get to really dive more into her life, her ambitions, and her relationships. Also cannot wait to see more of Kanthony ❤❤❤❤

"Romancing Mr. Bridgerton" is my favorite book of the series. Can't wait!

There's a crackpot theory that Eloise's maid (the one that told Pen about Eloise visiting the printer shop) is Sophie 😅

It’s great to see and hear about the Season 3!, but Hopefully Penelope will have a different wardrobe and the RpJ will make a brief appearance on the show too. I honestly can’t wait to find out what the release date is!😀🤗

If there's going to be a large time jump I would like Penelope to now be a stunning,voluptuous,chic and classy women,totally changed from the self conscious and often shy wallflower that we have all grown to love over the previous two seasons.She now knows her own mind,knows what she wants and better still knows how to achieve it so by the time Colin comes home he no longer sees "Pen" he sees someone who he hardly recognises but is so desperate to have,to be his,he can hardly sleep,eat or live without her.

I get where you’re coming from but she’s actually only a uk size 10-12 (us 6-8) but because she is short with a round face & the other actors are verrry slim she looks as though she’s average build. Gorgeous either way though!

Wonder who is going to play Gregorys role, when it's his turn to be main character. He was the machine. He and his wife got more children than any of his siblings.

The current actor can probably keep his role. If they film his show in the correct order as #7 & it takes about 2 years between each season, then he has about 8 more years to mature.

They will probably introduce Sophie during season 3 and then show the main story in season 4, because An Offer from a Gentleman needs to have some setup, because there is a time-jump.

The official explanation was they didn't want to draw out the Polin slowburn for a third season, I'm fairly sure Benedict and Sophie will be Season 4 🥰

Having difficulty seeing Penelope as a love interest, there were moments in seasons 1 and 2 that showed a spiteful and vindictive spirit. Jealousy gave her permission to engage in treachery, i.e. divulging secrets that were not hers to share in Jealousy....maybe they can soften her persona in season 3. Hoping there will at least be more of Kate and Anthony and Benedict. He is quite charming. 😍

I think she is now ten years older and when Colin comes back from his travels to London he sees a new, adult, beautiful lady who has always been there for him.

Kind of disappointed it seems like Nicola lost weight the season her and Collin become a thing. I have no qualms with the actress wanting to look better, but the timing definitely gives 'got in shape to be worthy of being a love interest' vibes. I know in reality this is exactly what would take a guy like Collin to notice a girl like Penelope. But this is supposed to be an unrealistic squishy fictional romance. It only adds to my long list of reasons why Penelope deserves better. Sighs.

In the books their romance takes place many years after Kate and Anthony get together, and in that time she's lost weight (because het mother leaves her alone and she's less anxious) and gotten to choose what she wears, which makes her more confident. So Nicola losing weight is actually following the books. I do agree it can give off 'got in shape to be worthy of being a love interest' vibes, althouth that isn't the reason she lost weight in the books.

@@tiedyeeyes1992 Except that could easily be why the author of the books had her lose weight as well. She's fictional, her reasons are designed by the author. The author's reasons are different. It 100% gives, in both the books and the show, must be thinner to be desirable and a lead.

@@tiedyeeyes1992 I mean, that isn't the reason she loses weight, but it is the message to take away from the whole situation and it's not necessarily a healthy one. The more I hear about the books the more I think they're not good love stories at all.

Such a darling girl, but the period clothes are awful on her. There has to be better options, it’s not like the show (or book) is true to the time period. I hope the costume designer gets it together and finds more appropriate clothes for her. It’s like they are purposely trying to make her not look good.

Yes, they dressed her according to the books. She was always dressed in colors and designs unflattering to her on purpose.
