On The Road Again | Animated Battle Map

Ойындар

This is how you run a chase encounter! I wanted to create an animated map that could actually bring something more to an encounter than a traditional 2D map. I create maps like this and more for the d&d community. All my still image versions are free to everyone! You can check out more of my work at www.patreon.com/LivingRealms

This is really cool. We need more. We need a water chase, a desert chase, you should make chase sequences for all your maps. I’m serious, this is cool enough to buy. I can get maps anywhere, but this is cool.

What sells this is the grid moves with the horse/carriage

Would these maps be available for download as a patron? Also how seamless is the loop? Amazing work btw, keep it up!

Yes sir the whole pack is available to my patrons, it includes cart at walk and run speeds, parked, and wrecked. Also version with no cart. For how seamless the loop is.. I think the cart at walk speed is near close to invisible. For the running cart because the cart is bouncing around way more I couldn't get it perfect. The terrain on both is a clean seam though. You can grab the cart at walk speed for free and try it out here: drive.google.com/open?id=1j9_NLaHk5i0qmjYmNDaW1SpDzIvvFl3M

Yes sir, though the file size is large. I will be releasing a more VTT-friendly version later this month.

you know, this would simplay explode if youd have a way to use it for online Pen and papers. But i just know of tools that use still images. Very Sad :(

You should check out Foundry Virtual Tabletop software. It's a little more involved to get set up than 100% online options like roll20. But the upside is it is a remote pen and paper option that is a 1 time purchase (no monthly cost), only the DM has to purchase it and it supports animated maps!

Using Foundry is good advice, but I can also recommend Astral Tabletop to you. As it doesn't have the licenses it requires some "coding" for automated actions and characters but has a lot of entirely free features including animated maps.

A video of playing a traditional tabletop RPG(Dungeon and Dragons), on a 43" 4K TV laid on its back, using my animated battle-map. Hope that answers your question : )

@@LivingRealms Ah cool! Unfortunately, I never got into tabletop games. Life is just too short to enjoy everything.
