MSs. and Cus. of aliens arriving at and settling in at an internment camp in England for foreign nationals. One of them covers his face from the camera.
Shots of English evacuees - children on railway station. They are travelling from the South East to Wales.
VS of refugees from the Lowlands arriving at a port in England by channel ferry and of them being received at reception centre on the dock. Good CUs of refugee children at the centre. Good shots of them drinking tea.
GV Alexandra Palace, which is being used as a refugee reception centre in London. VS of refugees resting in the halls of Alexandra Palace and of them being fed and cared for by women volunteers. The refugees are mainly women and children and old people.
MS of Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) inspecting women of the Womens Ambulance Driving Brigade in the grounds of Buckingham Palace. The women march past after the inspection followed by ambulances presented to them by Hollywood film stars.
