On The Edge Of Mastery
A short film featuring legendary paintball player Ryan Greenspan.
Ryan has always been one of the top players in the game. Still, if you look at the amount of success and his incredible capability of staying among the top players for over 20 years now, he might be the greatest of all time. I met Ryan for the first time on the field when we played in the World Cup finals on opposite sides in 2004, and we have since become great friends off the field as we both lived in San Diego, California. The way Ryan has continued his professionalism in all aspects of paintball and life in general, I was happy to jump on this project to portray him in this short film. If we talk about mastery in paintball, Ryan is the person who is closest to it and sets the bar for what mastery in paintball means.

It's amazing to see my childhood heroes still out there getting after it 20+ years later. I had to step away from playing the sport for about a decade but I always followed the sport to see what was going on. When I seen Oliver back with you guys at WC22, I practically had tears in my eyes. Brought back so many memories of all the nights and drives to fields with my past teammates, staying up and watching Cereal Killerz and all the other classic Paintball footage back in the day. Wishing the entire squad nothing but health and success in the years to come. You guys are an inspiration.

Watching dynasty on derder dvds in 2003 when I was 16 wanting to be Oliver and and Ryan. Now me watching this in my late 30s still wanting to be Ollie or Ryan. It's a beautiful thing. I still play d5/d4 paintball in my local league and do my best to keep up with the young guys. Much respect to Dynasty.
