It's very odd that Bob Grant didn't get work but Reg Varney was never short of work in light entertainment, theatre or the odd b movie. He even made a nice sum from his oil paintings.

On the buses is still the best to watch. Still funny. ❤❤😂😅😂💙💙

I was watching 'Are You Being Served' with my 19 year old daughter and she was mortified when Mrs Slocombe started talking about her pussy....I fear there is little hope for good old humour any more.

Funny seeing old buses at least days the probably run and not so expensive

Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

Very entertaining and funny

Michael Robbins who played Arthur made the show his witt his dry and bullying humour along with his trying to be from good breeding was immense. The other characters were good in their own way also, But Arthur was just that bit more special and funnier than the others.
