Great video. It seems that these guitars will get more value with time like vintage japanese Fender clones. They're still with a great price. What makes these guitars interesting is the mix of "vibes" of different guitars: semi-hollow body, P90 pickups, Telecaster body with a typical vintage Telecaster neck shape.

I am considering buying anew Tele, I make my last mortgage payment next month which fee's up a lot of my Salary. I'm stuck whether to buy an old model that will definitely hold its money or increase or buy a new one, yours has just made it on to the list also.

That's great to hear! I definitely reccommend this one, I only paid about $400 for it in player grade condition, but ones in mint condition will probably hold their value extremely well because this is the only time this model was ever produced. Some people are turned away by the made in China label, but if you care more about quality and price than country of origin, these are a seriously great deal for what they are.

I just bought one off of Craigs List. I intended to flip it but after playing it I decided to keep it because I started to bond with it. I just ordered Graph Tech saddles and string trees for it. Might be changing out the pots later but will see.

i got mine in 2017 when i turned 13 and i haven’t found a single guitar that can keep up with it, i replaced the bridge and it’s got some rust, but it’s still a beaut

Had one of these for couple of years now and have considered changing pickups. However, I quite like the stock ones it comes with and not sure it's worth doing unless I went with something like Seymour Duncan. I tend to use cheaper pickups like Wilkinson or Iron Gear

I've heard really good things about Iron gear pickups, although in my opinion if you're gonna replace the pickups you should probably also go and change the pots to 500k pots since the 250k pots are gonna make any p90s sound way too muddy

Thanks for the video, i bougth the same guitar several years ago and i notice that it lacks some harmonics on 5th and 7th frets compare to my genuine Fender tele, do that comes from the guitar or the strings, mine are still stock ones.

I did, but there wasn't much room to loosen them because they had a very small amount of wind at the tuners

@@TheGearGarage what do you say about E-to-E distance at the neck? Are they 2 1/16" (around 53mm, typical found in modern USA strats and MIM strats) or more vintage-like (2 7/32", around 56mm)? Thanks in advance.

@@francisco.amorim I just checked and it seems to be somewhere between 52-53mm. It is definitely a very modern and slim feeling neck
