I lived in rural Japan for twenty years- fully immersed in the culture and language with a Japanese spouse also. But am I therefore Japanese? No. I am white with understanding, love and respect of Japan and the Japanese. She is like me. She is white. With an understanding, love and respect of African American people.

It doesn't matter. You can't just change your race, black people do not have that privilege and they're discriminated against all the time. She's only black when its convenient for her. That is racist as hell, and she is not African American, period. She went to a low income black college to get a free college degree, good thing they kicked her out the second they found out she was actually white. That is abusive and she is using black culture to profit and gain attention and followers. I can't believe there's people out there that agree with this kind of mentality, it sick. Not only that, we have people who believe that men who dress up as women are allowed to be called a woman, speak for feminist rights, and go into public restrooms as the opposite gender, just sick and you're probably one of those people.

I didn't get it either but I watched Netflix documentary and now I completely understand. She might not be racially black but she's blacker than me. She did suffer and saved her black adopted siblings from her WHITE abusive and pedophile family. Those WHITE parents only came out LYING because she was about to testify against their pedophile son for her black sister. There are so many HUMAN reasons why she identified as black. Her reasons are commendable and she's been through and going through more white hate than I ever have. Her parents never said a word until she was testifying against her brother because he molested her too... Netflix

It would be nothing more than an irritation or amusing story if she didn't have kids. I watched the documentary (not proud, lol) and her younger son who was in high school at the time was SO embarrassed by her narcissistic behavior, going on talk shows & doing a book tour while he was ridiculed at school. He said "I'm half white; I don't know why she won't just admit she is." That broke me. I'm white and called it at the time: she's not the only one doing this. Sure enough, Jessica Krug was busted soon after. There will be more. It's not enough for her just to be ANY Black person, she referred to herself as "Rachel Luther Queen" (aka the ultimate Civil Rights hero/martyr) in an email at Howard, which proves this is a personality disorder. That said, it's no different or worse than men claiming to be women because they "feel" like us. 🤷

She is a very gifted artist. Its good that she supports the cause of anti racism against blacks and uses her art to express that. However, the subject is her race. Not her views, feelings or how she relates. Each of us has a specific, true race. It is mentally unhealthy for her to flatly deny that and hide behind the cloak of a different race.

Maybe you should catch up RD’s story. She lied to the police and the public about being a victim of racial harrassment. Her parents and entire family claim she has made up the much of the childhood abuse stories. We were presented only half of her story in this puff piece interview. I think her art is good and will look at her website. But I think she has serious mental issue which keep her from admitting all the lies she has told to forge a career as an activist for AA. I will not buy her book. I can’t support her until she gets help she needs to admit to her deceit. BTW she has been sued for welfare fraud. She took welfare payments while she was working and earned $84k or $64k. RD will lie snd cheat whenever it suits her.

Note: Ms Christmas / Respectively and Constructively Rachel Dolezal is a great artist in this space in time. Her works on canvas depict human characters from the Afri-American kind. Seems it would be culturally valuable for her to paint on canvas the facial expressions of the true white racist acting out. Especially since first off she is biologically white, aka; Caucasian She is very qualified to navigate the facial lines of whites expressing racist hatred towards Afri-American/Blacks. Many if not most of Rachel's paintings of AA/BLK show artistic characters as strong and beautiful yet docile and meditative. It would be enlightening to many from all areas of the people from the of color spectrum as well as many peaceful whites to see ihe hidden facets of her white time experience. It seems that very few if any artist of Rachel Dolezal's caliber have shown the courage to recreate the ugly hate filled facial expressions of the caucasian/white racist of her original race. What could be learned if one were to recreate the many facial expressions if the brutally victimized AA/BLK facing the wretched racist terror-mongers. We should see the realness of the artist on canvas. Romanticism for exposure to validate the trans-racial transitional philosophical reasoning without a preface highlighting an explanation to the one's need to abandon one's biological core of circa 30yrs, can be perceived as a psuedo racial mindset, especially one's core self is abandoned. Sidebar: the WWII Jewish concentration camp artist reflected both facial expressions. That being the faces of N*ZI's racial racist hatred, vs the fear filled expressions of the emaciated Jewish victims. They (the Jewish artist) had courage. The title of said book.....'IN FULL COLOR'........finding herself in a BLACK and WHITE world. Where is the part about finding herself need to escape the WHITE and BLACK world? Seems the need to present to the world of how one observes the black world on canvas w/out an inclusion of restructuring the intimidating hate filled facial expressions of one's original racial biological kind on canvas. There is an incomplete circle here, only one half 180° ⚖ like scale 1/2 filled. Yet her works on canvas are of notable ⭐ quality.
