3:10 Bonjour! I'm British and I don't really recognise this extra meaning of "goodbye" for "cheers". It's not the first time I've heard it though, lots of (anglophone) Americans also seem to get confused and think that "cheers" also means goodbye for some reason! Maybe the confusion is that we often use it in a place where you might expect "goodbye". Maybe getting off a bus, leaving a shop or business where we have just been a customer, or even to a friend if we are leaving a situation when they have just done something for us (like invited us round for dinner, or given us a lift in their car). We will raise a hand and say "cheers" maybe as the last thing before we depart. But this doesn't mean goodbye, it still means thankyou. Another very British phrase we might say in the same place is "Thanks again!" where "again" is because we are British and we will probably already have said thankyou many times already. (I have heard myself when taking my change from a cashier in a shop saying the sentence "Cheers thanks ta!" - three different words for "thankyou" in a row! It is just an instinct to say thankyou as many times as possible, even in the smallest interaction. 😂) So while it might be used in a situation where you might say "goodbye", it's just a cultural thing to choose to thank the person instead of saying goodbye to them!

Great! You can be bloody proud of your studio. I often see "grand" when watching British series, and also "quid"; every time in singular: 50 grand or 50 quid, whereas I read that you can use them in the plural or singular form. Cheers, Stéven! (with the meaning of "thank you")

Très très bonne idée ce Slang, Celui-là reste très très light. Cela dit,ayant appris le 'vrai' anglais en parlant avec des clodos en jouant aux échecs dans les parcs, ça fait une vraie différence dans le boulot avec des anglosaxons qd tu connais.. . (Pas très english cette musique hein 😁)
