Hi Benjamin. If you send the water sample to a lab, they will use lab methods to analyze the water. But if you want to do the test on a farm or home you can use some portable kits/devices. You can use Water test strips to do some tests (you can find more info at this link: poultryinnovationpartnership.ca/tool-of-the-month-on-farm-water-testing-kits/). There are some portable kits to test water minerals (look at this link: poultryinnovationpartnership.ca/tool-of-the-month-november/) Also you can run observational test on water color using this device: poultryinnovationpartnership.ca/tool-of-the-month-december/ You can buy water test kits from the manufacturers' websites or Amazon or some hardware stores

Ozone is a good disinfectant that can disinfect locally. It means that water that has been exposed to ozone will be disinfected in that place but there is no guarantee that water will be kept clean throughout the waterline. But chemicals will have residue in the waterline so water will be kept clean even at the end of the line
